Usually the cameras in the US give a 'grace speed' - so like, it's a 30mph zone the camera will flash at like 42mph or over or something for the sake of sanity.

@13mordeth in your country is there a demerit point system towards your licence. As in for where I am you get 12 points and for speeding you lose about 3 points. If you lose all your points then you lose your licence. Also were you do 150km/h in a 100km/h or 100km/h in a 50km/h zone?

is driving it. I don't know how they could identify you with the helmet and camera in the way.

I have been zapped about 4 times here in Arizona, but they need to be able to clearly see your face.  No vicarious liability allowed here.

Full face helmets prevent tickets in Arizona. I see there are much tougher rules elsewhere.

How do they get you from the front? Is there a camera facing the other way to get your licence plate as you go past? In the UK they have to pull you over to get your details if they get you from the front on a motorcycle. Static camras can get you from behind here as you pass them but not the cops with the speed guns or front faceing camras.

@bobdigi88 yes it does mean cameras pointing to the front of our bikes cant give you a ticket however most of our speed cameras take a picture from the rear of the vehicle , thus catching any vehicle's number plate. There are some cameras that only get the front of the vehicle but they are few and far between.
