Yea and to clear all of this up....Sakine Meiko used to be fan-made....she was accepted into Vocaloid by Crypton and Yamaha now. So technically now she's real. (Though I don't mind her I hate Sakine's purpose of creation.)

.....love how misleading the image is to which voice of Meiko it is...well by now Sakine Meiko would sound like Adult Meiko anyways. In human years since her release she's 19....XP. Cannot wait for Meiko Append. It'll be a lot easier since its gonna be for V2 program instead of switching back and forth between the first program and the second. We already have three now so its a good thing they upgraded her XD. Apparently Kaito and Luka are getting appends too...and Miku and Kaito for English o3o

@kauitheutau meiko sakine. the way you can tell is how she's dressed and how her voice sounds. sakine meiko has the outfit pictured above while meiko has the revealing all red mini skirt and low cut top. meiko's voice is lower than sakine's. hope that hepled

i agree as well. meiko is underappreciated AND taken 4 granted! she was the vocaloid who started it all, and kept the others going. Miku may be kind of cute, but shes so typical, meiko should get a bit more attention

I definitely agree here. Miku seems to be the generic loli/moe character that Japan churns out everywhere nowadays.

Meiko is a more mature vocaloid and it shows through her singing and appearance. She strikes a fine line between sexy and homely for me. Of course, videos like this also make her sound absolutely beautiful :3

I always feel so bad for Meiko D: She's always so underappreciated, I mean, she's the onee-chan to the other vocaloids xD I love her to death, but she does require a lot of skill to use her successfully.

I also love pairings with her. My favorite is Kaito and Meiko [The two "old people" xD]

Look for her version of Cantarella with Kaito. It's originally done with Miku but Meiko brings it out so much better in my opinion, it fits her better. :\

To tell the truth, Meiko's actually my least favorite Vocaloid, and songs by her that I actually enjoy listening to are very few and far between, but even I can say that Poem Weaved in the Ruins is one of my favorite Vocaloid songs.

You should hear "Poem Weaved in the Ruins". In my opinion, it's Meiko's best song. It sound so human! It doesn't even sound that much like Meiko, but it really is the program!

The original Meiko program (the one you're hearing here that isn't the gratingly high-pitched Sakine Meiko [who is cute in small doses or in "Honey"]) is really difficult to use, since she's on the first Vocaloid engine. She has a *beautiful* voice, though. >:
