@w0lsky mechanism for what? the steering? i got the servo from an rc car and made the connection to the rudders using a nylint rock crawler front end

The position of the motor pushing the water down decreases rpm you should put it more horizontal to the hull

It will change the motor rpm dramatically and gain more speed with the same prop

so, simple, so genius. i love how you worked out the rudders. i made a airboat out of scrap. worked about as good as your boat. you could try a diff prop...might give you more speed.

thanks, i had a different prop on it but it was a lego one that i had handy and it was faster but one of the fins broke off and made it out of ballance so i made a temporary prop out of a fish food lid :) so ive been looking for a hobie shop to get a faster/better one. do you have a vid of your "airboat"?
