  • That's Robbie MacIntosh of the Pretenders in the black & white shirt, and Hamish Stuart from the Average White Band on guitars, Paul "Wix" Wickens on keys, Abe Laboriel, Jr. on drums, and of course, the lovely Linda -- to be with him only 5 more years...

  • @JanetCoop that's not abe on drums, it's Blair Cunningham.

  • Not his real name though

  • i was paul in a play

  • ringo should SO be behind the drums

  • 2 fucking morons

  • muito show

  • muito showwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • Many dont realize how talented Sir Paul is.

  • 2 dislikes is 2 to many

  • we have here the greatest bassist ever from the greatest band ever

  • @TheScrewed0ver .. yep .. shame he's playing guitar.

  • @backthisway oh he's still an amzing guitar player

  • althogh nothing is the same as the Beatles- Paul & Wings are pretty good- then and now thorhg many changes in lineup and new technology different audiences and Paul being 67 years old now- Paul still rocks and is 1 of the 4 best musicians ever- the Beatles!

  • Robbie is SUCH a tasteful dynamic .. and competent player .. smooth fluid no errors .. very overlooked guitar man.

  • Jeebus!, When they are starting to play Sgt peppers reprise im getting goosebumps all over my body:) Paul Mccartney are legend! as are the other Beatles ofcourse! R.I.P:(

  • he is fantastic.

  • Times change, styles change... hey, Paul is playing a six string guitar, and not a bass, someone else is playing that.

  • yeah I didn't realize just how much guitar he played even during his time with the beatles he played alot of acoustic/lead guitar let alone drums and piano. He was/is without a doubt the best musician of the group even though he was the "BASS PLAYER"

  • It doesnt sound like when played by the beatles themselves.. then again. nothing can.

  • ye cuz it isn't the beatles maybe...

consider it a cover, all bands/artists try making cover songs like theior own, and thaqt's what's going on here

  • THIS IS PURE GENIUS!!!!!

  • It cannot be exaggerated enough how amazing it was that Lennon and McCartney ended up in the same band.

  • Hahaha, no kidding. The odds are pretty astronomical that the two best song-writers of the past 50 years were paired up and collaborated on so many works of genius. Hmmm, hope that didn't sound like borderline hyperbole, haha. ;)

  • Yeah, we can say that we were very lucky to have Lennon and mccartney in the same band, like you said, think of the odds that the two best songwriters/musicians imo were in the same band.

  • Very well said!

  • Paul is a genius

  • @franruizde stop calling him paul!! he's billy shears!!! haha jk

  • @FullOfDookies Actually, Ringo is Billy Shears. Seriously

  • woah, kickass solo.

  • Aw, he has the youthful care-free spirit of a lad.. I love this song a whole lot and he always seems to put a lot of energy into it. I am sad he lost his Linda.

  • time goes on...try to think at the Stones

  • McCartney unfortunately stands more for the 80s than the 60s nowadays..

  • That's funny!

  • It's paul...

  • as if you can write better

  • why havent i ever heard of you then?

  • I'm don't have enough money for an electric guitar and I don't have a band.

  • This is a fantastic version of a classic that will live forever.

  • Oh, Love this version!

  • Awesome! That was a great band! I think this video is from from concert in Charlotte! I should have it on VHS somewhere!

  • awesome

  • can't beat lennon's rock 'n roll voice for this song

  • Mccartney was the lead singer in the Beatles version

  • really? fully sounds like john's 'twist and shout' voice

  • well i dont know for sure but im almost sure that it is Paul. In some part you can hear all of their voices and you can hear John clearly and its not the same voice

  • ya, i think it is paul....i guess he's got a better 'raspy' voice than i thought

  • Go and check the cd booklet: IT IS PAUL SINGING!!

  • yo the bass player looks like flea...a LOT

  • Yes, the original will always retain its initial excitement, but this version is a more contemporary sounding version. The backing vocals (especially Hamish's) is very powerful and exciting, while John had a bit of a "softer" voice that wasn't as...compatible with a "rock out" song as this.

  • Nothing can ever be better then the original, this backing cant even match John and Hairrson, they are truly the best.

  • So much better than the drug-filled original. Great idea on having a guitar duel bridging the first SGt. Pepper to its reprise.

  • I really miss the original way it was done, all thsoe old time band uniforms and Ringo singing as "Billy Shears"...

  • its such a sick version of the song

  • u are SOOOOOO RIGHT!! paul, how kud u betray ur own band?!?!??!

  • That's pretty insulting to a musician such as McCartney I'd say. That you would think he couldn't have fun and jam on his own tune instead of playing it the way you have always heard it from the studio album some 40 years ago! It's not a sick version, it's a fun version, and Paul is having fun playing it along with the band. Ask any musician if they would play a song the same way each and every night as the record and every one worth his salt would say no!

  • You know, "sick" is slang these days for "awesome". That might have been what he meant. And this version is awesome.

  • you guys find it funny that the name of the tour is the "New World Tour" ? Black pyramid ? come on people do your homework

  • Incense and Peppermints

  • amazing robbie mcintosh solo! look how great is its beginning, so fucking awesome, that long note and the resolution and then the bending... he's the best.

  • I always thought Robbie is the most impeccable player ever, he's fantastic!!! he can play ANYTHING well!

  • ive met the guitarist who does the solo:

    Robbie McIntosh.

    he's my friends dad.

  • well then you can certainly tell him there are tons of us fans of his musicianship! :)

  • well, i shall,

    it is a brilliant solo.

  • Awesome!

  • Wow, this is great. Do you have anymore "Off the Ground" tour (Paul is Live tour) videos? If you do, please post more. Thank you very much.
