@paulnjen07 Completely legal. She skates off to the box because she caught a fourth minor right before it happened (a ref who called this bout said so). See the positional blocking that's happening about 20' past the pack in the far turn? I believe that was it.

She was sent to the box because she'd picked up four minors PRIOR to the hit, and there was a delay in processing on the infield. The hit itself was not an infraction.

in the video.. the block is a bit unclear as to exactly what part of her body hit the other skater.. if you watch closely.. her right skate hits the other skaters left skate.. which i think accounted for lifting her off the ground.

and also.. i skate OSDA.. soo the rules of 'minor' penalties are a bit different than my understanding of legal/illegal blocks.

but i did compliment it.. as well as the recovery.

nope, watch the slow-mo, her skates dont touch Rice Rockets skates at all. Thats pure booty action!! (with I think the ultimate target of center of gravity)

I also think a key here is the block done by the other player first. I've been trying to teach my team this, knock the jammer a bit so shes off on her balance and send the other one in for the kill.
