@Pinhead554 Willard Scott was cast as Mr. Poole. NBC was hoping that Scott's status as a "Today Show" celebrity would boost ratings, because the network fully expected "Valerie's Family: The Hogans" to tank after Valerie Harper's termination and lawsuit. The ratings held steady, and Willard was no longer needed.
