i did this before on my brothers ps2 and thought it was a cheat code because it caused MAJOR glitches like a gameshark and it went off course for 300x the lenth of the track and wont turn while off course (i call it the glitch parking lot) and wandered around for 3 hrs until i bumped into another car. in replay mode, the game crashed when i went into glitch parking lot. it was stuck as an upside-down car screenshot

gran turismo 3 is so messed up. theres 2 glitches you can see in that video

1.the impossible speed of 1400km/h

2.the best speed on the top right corner of the screen said 999.9km/h.

btw the escudo is pretty bad for the wheelie trick because with the gt-one i got to about 1300 mph.

@MrMegaShuffle when your about to race, go to settings, then go to settings on the menu, then go over to the red circle icon on the far right. press X and you should be able to take it from there.

dude you wanna learn to drive. i used to have that car doing a wheelie on about 3/4 of the track and make it go past triple your speed.

@k3nnyisaw3som3 you must be using the road version. you must have the race version to change front downforce. you can get the race version by completing the dream car championship. (hint) save your game after you finish the 6th race, start race 7 and quit it. this way you can load the game if you win the wrong car so you can keep trying till you get the GTone race car.

Indeed it doesn't. NA tuning isn't available for this car: you should buy Turbo kit 4 instead. That will be enough to get the power around 1800hp.

all you have to do is time it right and catch up with them on a long stretch and the drift will make you go faster but there is a cheat cd where you can go 1000 mph weird but really fast

Thats crazy. I got mine going over 300mph without any tricks. How high did you get yours going.

I got 515kph without the trick. It is about 320mph. I reached it with Escudo with the wheels slipping... 0_o

I wonder why the speed dropped when the tyres got grip and stopped slipping. It was with super-hard racing tyres, front riding height max, rear min, and a gear setting I can't remember. I post gear ratio etc. here or make a video if I can reproduce such settings.

Wasn't the explanation at the end of the video clear enough?

1. Have a car with OVER 1000 HP (after tuning). Like Escudo, GT-one race car, or R390 GT1 Race car.

2. Equip the highest stage turbine kit or NA tune possible.

3. Decrease spring rate to the smallest possible value for both front and rear.

4. Decrease ride height to the smallest possible value for both front and rear.

5. Set the gear ratio's 6th gear and auto setting to the highest level possible.

6. Decrease the front downforce to the smallest possible value.

7. Increase the rear downforce to the largest possible value.

8. Set ASM to level 0.

9. Set TCS to level 0.
