When I listen to this song, or any song of the Rankins for that matter, it makes me think of the many kitchen parties we used to have at mine and my aunt's place. It really makes me miss Cape Breton and I will hopefully return home one day, for good. But for now, at least I got good music like this to keep me going!

I met Jimmy Rankin several times when I worked at Musicstop in Halifax about 17+ years ago, Bruce Jacobs, the bass player for the band worked there with me. Both great guys. I never really spent any time with the rest of the band members.

We saw them Friday nite in Edmonton.They sounded fantastic.Better than their CD's.Did a 15 minute Mull River Shuffle for their encore.Then sat after talking and signing autographs.I swear 1/2 of Cape Breton must live in Edmonton.They knew most of the audience!!
