Ive heard from some too,all are computerized r machine made, so the HAND MADE TERM is a big joke this and prs,gbson,fnder are playing on the buying musician ): they put a lot of stress on the workers to meetPRODUCTION LEVELS..(25 instruments in an 8 hour shift) I put the nut,bridge,neck adjsmnt,intonationp.I QUIT
For Christ's sake, Rickenbacker, bring back AND KEEP the vintage pickups and the trapeze tail, and offer the Bigsby Vibrato. I have 7 Ricks and they ALL have the above-mentioned items!!!
Bring back the 481! Put some nice Seymour Duncan pickups and a wider compound radius neck and call it "new" if you wish. Just please, bring back that sexy beast! I'll have mine in white with black binding. Please?
Just scrap half of these designs and get the 325 rolling again. It's the only guitar anyone wants anyway. Well it's the only one I'm buying from you. Or 2nd hand, rather, because I'm in Australia and you don't make them anymore anyway.
I mails customer service about 14 years ago regarding my 1975 4001 and authentication of the sertial number, and got a return letter on RIC letterhead. Framed in my livingroom!
Very nice video! I have emailed John about my 1964 Rickenbacker 340S and it may have been the only one ever made! That can't be proven as some of the earlier production records were lost in a fire or other means. Does anyone out there have any info on my guitar?

because the guitarists who are looking for a good american made guitar they know that rickenbacker are only made there

I actually own an Hofner and a Rickenbacker Bass Guitar and also a Rickenbacker 325 V 59 Guitar and I'm very happy about this documentary video .
