oh wow.. my way of beating was sooooo much harder to do.. and this jsut makes me feel stupid! :P i would go off the path way before the loop and drop in, boucn off the third loop, then bounce off last loop :P THIS IS SOOOO MUCH BETTER :) THANK YOU FOR POSTING
When I first started playing SMB2, I sometimes found myself thinking "how the heck am I supposed to do that?". For some people, they find it easier to think like the designers of the game. Me? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. :-)
When I first started playing it I found it quite difficult to get the hang of dropping in to the first loop, by rolling over the end of the initial platform as slowly as possible. Also, I found it important to not change loop to loop too early, or the momentum is quickly lost.
When I first started playing SMB I hated this level with a passion but once I learned to do it it's one of my favourites. You go round to the right though...I only ever go round to the left!
It's odd that, because once I had completed the level using the right-hand side, I found the left-hand route to be unexpectedly difficult. I write right-handed, I guess that might be the issue here.
I'm sorry to say you are incorrect. I've turned my Gamecube on and started SMB2 to check. Remember I'm playing the USA/NTSC version, so the level numbering might be different from your version.
Pistons isn't a hard level, you just need to remember (1) that you're safe on where the thin platforms intersect and (2) the sequence of the pistons. OTOH it's easier to skip it. :-)

Kudos to you for picking it up quickly though.

Sega says "suitable for everyone", and the levels are graded nicely from very easy all the way up to very hard.

@gsd108 Well Kids could not do this level. I would say 12+ on this game

I cant complete it if i dont get red!

He he, I second that. I have on some games re-started the level if I didn't get the red exit. It jumps you over two levels so it's worth doing.

I only go on the left also and I'm right handed. Hmm, maybe the game designers want us to master left and right? ^.^
