At my high school graduation one of my classmates did a backflip on the way to the podium, everyone cheered. After receiving his diploma and well wishes from his teacher he did another backflip off the stage and returned to his seat amidst the laughter and cheers of all the audience and faculty.

Graduation ceremonies are absolute bullshit. I don't know if this is a nation-wide thing, but when I graduated, we got our diploma covers at the ceremony and recieved our actual diplomas later. Kids do get a little cocky at graduation, but that is possibly the last time they get to spend together so what's wrong with making it a memorable experience?

It's just quite unbelievable knowing that some people don't allow peace in this world.
At my high school graduation they told us a week before that if the people that were in the crowd, our parents or friends or whoever we invited, stood up and starting cheering for us when we walked across the stage they would not give us our diplomas. They also threatened to hold ALL of our diplomas because of our senior prank, but we did use a crane and put the principals car on top of the school. She thought it was cool, it was the other administrators that threatened us.

These ceremonies prove that school administrators have ventured so far up their own asses that they forgot what graduating is about. Kids do get a little cocky at graduation, but that is possibly the last time they get to spend together so what's wrong with making it a memorable experience?

Bowing is a normal unoffesive thing to do. Blowing a kiss to mom? Jesus Christ. Beachballs? Nothing wrong with that. its a HS gradution not a business meeting. The school should be sued and the people involved should be fired. no excuse for something like that.

I recieved my Diploma but my school has no record of my transcripts or my GPA. So pretty much that means that I will have to go to a crappy Community College instead of a place I would like to attend.

That's completely absurd. I can't believe unhappy people actually go past the limit to ruin other people's lives. Our graduation was outside, people had air horns, beach balls and smoking was also allowed. We all had fun and some of the graduates even danced on stage! It's just quite unbelievable knowing that some people don't allow peace in this world.

At my high school graduation they told us a week before that if the people that were in the crowd, our parents or friends or whoever we invited, stood up and starting cheering for us when we walked across the stage they would not give us our diplomas. They also threatened to hold ALL of our diplomas because of our senior prank, but we did use a crane and put the principals car on top of the school. She thought it was cool, it was the other administrators that threatened us.

yep. and that "leeway" that the guy talks about at 2:18 is so broad, that almost anything can be called "inappropriate", as what we just heard in the video about the kid blowing a kiss to his mom in the audience.
It really pisses me off when there's rules like that, where it's up to the discretion of the principal or teacher to say whether something is inappropriate or not. It also pisses me off that there's no way to challenge their decision once it's made. ugh.

I graduated with this class and I was four rows back when it happened. It was ridiculous. The woman handing out the diploma gave us a speech before hand basically threatening us. She does have a broom up her ass. It was horrible, because of her, my graduation was ruined.

i couldnt get my diploma bcuz i went to a catholic school and i didnt and still dont beleive in magical jews or a man sitting in the clouds so i refused to take religon 10 and u need to pass that class aperently in catholic schools to graduate so i had to go back to school (at a public school) and take 1 more random class i think i did shop or drama some shiz like that and then they gave me a diploma lookin back im suprised i wasnt expelled for skipping every religon class i ever had lol

I have gone to 2 graduations for Bonny Eagle for my sisters, in 1998, and 2004, and beachballs is a normal thing, they have been around and are not going anywhere. I go there today and am a Junior and knew him last year and he was a good kid, not a smartass or nothing. I completly agree with your video.

You can criminality CHARGE someone of he spits in someone's eye, but the diploma is a document they are forced to deliver.

They had rules in place because parents some of who make up the school board decided the unruleyness needed to stop. So they made rules and everyone agreed.
