In my book there are 3 types of Lycanthropes:

1, Werewolves or Lycans (thanks to Underworld for the nickname). These are my favourite. This is what's depicted in this video.

2, Wolfmen, such as the type in the most recent movie release. These are more human visaged. Long remember Lon Chaney Jr!

3, and then the Loup Garou, the French version of human to complete wolf. no stoping at "Go" no collecting $200. The French were always rather boring, well, except for their sauces.

@sese10197 you may have your terms for what things mean to you, but the Loup garou in Voodoun culture is a rabid dog-man that walks on his hind legs, that sometimes takes other monstrous forms. Yes, i know in france it's a man that turns into a plain wolf, but this is a monster of folklore, and the nature of folklore is a shifting one. An artist is allowed to show their interpretation of these ancient oral myths. There is no right answer.

It's not moving with the person, if there is a person underneath. This head is all animatronic and thus controlled by remotes held by others.

This could possibly be just a puppet, that is, just a bust with the controls underneath it and the puppeteer there. In which case, it's not a mask at all, just a robot.
