  • Fabulous's Pachanga brought me here, thank u Fab.

  • Baby making music.......

  • Oh how I remember when this was released. It was never released as a single so you had to purchase the album in order to get it. The album was titled "WAKE UP EVERYBODY" and this cut was on side 1 [or side A] of the album. The album itself was released in November of 1975. I was not even a teenager yet. But I absolutely LOVED this song. So much that I memorized every word to it. I still know it to this day.

  • This is what Music is all about!!! Chorus+Rhythm+Soul+Feeling ...Rest In Peace Teddy P and Don Cornelius!!!

  • This is real Philly Music here, gotta love Sharon Paige!

  • i smoke to this song

  • santel said this is a love song

  • Beautiful song during a time when pure, magical talent was a prequisite for all singers. Thank u for sharing.

  • Check out my video called Monday i sampled this and a part of Sharon Paige's pretty voice:)

  • there are only so many perfect songs ever made. this is one of them.

  • Beautiful Song...Sexy baby making music. REPLAY OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN...

  • IT DON'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS! TEDDY!

  • Great and lovely. From 1975. Reminds of "You Take My Love Away" composed by Bill Conti, music in the film Rocky sung by DaEtta Little & Nelson Pigford, from 1976 I think. Also tempo, rhythm, melody reminds about William DeVaughn "Be Thankful For What You Got" from 1972.

  • @healhurt True about William Devaughn - Be thankful for What you Got, could also add here, Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes - To be True, The Impressions - Sooner or Later, The Dramatics - I Cried All The Way Home, Donny Hathaway - Love, Love, Love maybe even Marvin Gaye - Mercy Me (The Ecology....all nice groovy soul.

  • @dbthegroovemaster The song also reminds of You Take My Heart Away - DeEtta Little& Nelson Pigford.

  • @healhurt Never realised until you pointed me in that direction...thanks!

  • @dbthegroovemaster thanks for the songs you named as well - great!

  • Baby making music...

  • ... fore GOD made You - to love Me.

  • awesome! thanks!

  • HOT DAMN...Does anything else really need to be said, smh & saying "NOPE":-)!!! Classicially beautiful.

  • U hear Teddy in the background just vocally clownin'!!!! One of the coldest brothas ever on the mic!!!!!!

  • where can i get this song to download?? any1??

  • damn i love this song n i'm jus 21 yrs old!!!!

  • Ms Sharon Paige was the perfect female vocal style to compliment Harold Melvin and Teddy B. Yeeeeah!!!!!

  • @BBSatin13 She was definitely underrated. I saw her Harold & the Bluenotes in 1976,or '77. Harold really looked stressed. This was when Teddy left the group, and the other guy came in. It seems that after TP left, the group had declined - probably due to the the big brass at PIR. There should be an Unsung on the entire group. On TP's Unsung, Harold wasn't so right, either. Still a great song though.

  • This is lovemaking in music form.

  • GOOD MUSIC REALY MAKE YOU FEEEEEEL SO GOOOOOOD

  • oo

  • Raekwon feat Ghostface Killah - Rainy Dayz Remix

  • probably the deepest soul HM&TBN ever performed, shame this singer's duo had just this chance which still proves 2b a masterpiece, miss u Teddy...

  • For My Boo..

  • For all of you non-music folks, Teddy only had one-line in this song, but ad-libs throughout! The main parts of this song are sung by S. Page and H. Melvin! Let's get that straight! That said, Teddy was a BEAST! In my opinion, the GOAT!

  • This song always gets me in the vibe

  • I love oldie but goodies and this group and song especially!!!! For all the real lovers!

  • Love this Ollie I love oldest period they won't ever die...

  • this is a song to dedicate to the one that lives in your heart, the words speak for themselves, its the person you want to say i do and take their hand in holy matrimony, and spend the rest of your life with them, ive waited all my life for an angel like her, she is "GODS " to me, and i love her so much because my life has never been the same and my heart has never beat the same, i love you baby,,,, god bless you because :GOD" already blessed me with you living in my heart, ..

  • Taking me back to a time when things where so simple. listen to the radio before going to school and going to sleep with it on. sound timeless song.[and if you had five dollars in your pocket you was saying something:-))]

  • This is so beautiful, classic songs like this simply make any true music lover want to cry........the lyrics are on point, instrumental arrangement on point. What more could one ask for, I feel blessed knowing that I am able to appreciate timeless music such as this, call me an old timer( and i aint even that old ) but truth be told they don't make music with so much emotion like this these days.Thank you nyseamex for uploading

  • This is one of the most beautiful songs ever....i first heard it on Carlito's Way (2005 Edition) with Jay Hernandez and Mario Van Peebles. Sharon Paige was off the chain and Harold was too.

  • Get in the Caddy and take your girl to Coney Island and play this classic

  • I love to drink and get high to this smoove relaxing song

  • Cant get much better than the Philly sound. The lush arrangements, the harmonies, the strings OMG :) I have not heard this tune since the early 90s thx to most of the radio stations going corporate & playing the mainstrem crap. Thanks youtube, what would we do without you?

  • I PREFER COLLINS AND COLLINS VERSION

  • That song was great until Harold Melvin let Sharon Paige ruin it.

Teddy P should have done the song by himself.

  • @saj8 you're joking right

  • @letmein1541 I'm being honest. That is not one of my favorite Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes' songs.

Neither was Hope That We'll Be Together Soon.

  • @saj8 Wow that's amazing. I think their voices blend together beautifully

  • @saj8 ur a pussy

  • @steelcross101 You're a troll.

Be quiet while the big people speak!

  • these views are ridiculous! this should have at least 1 million views this is real music.

  • More Goosebumps....Catch up!!!

  • The artists and lyrics were so damn smooth and fly back then! WTF happened???

  • @armybrat1980

yea if they have any sense of decent music, some bitch would probably spoil the moment you put this on and ask for you to change it to ke$ha

  • REAL music, thanx for posting.

  • Can it get any smoother than this?

  • WOW!!! One of the most beautiful songs ever recorded. Teddy Pendergrass & Sharon Page singing for the GODS in heaven.

    R.I.P. TEDDY

    Anthony Figgiani

  • @afiggiani1558 We lost Sharon Paige, too???? OMG!!!

  • @afiggiani1558 Actually, this song features Harold Melvin, Sharon Paige, and Teddy Pendergrass. Harold sings on the verse, and Teddy on the bridge. They switched off leads on a few songs. Teddy's voice was much heavier. Great cut!!!

  • This song lives on and on and on and on... It will never be duplicated.....

  • Teddy Pendergrass is the lead singer that voice is unmistakeable..

  • Its amazing..but although the group is called Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes..He was Not the lead singer..the female singing is Sharon Page..and the male is Teddy Pendergrass..which lead most of the songs..and hits..no wonder Teddy quit. he had to split the money evenly with the other members yet HIS voice is the main one we heard. I would have quit too. He didnt need the blue notes.

  • @blkshepherd he didnt need the money

  • I mean, come on! Does it really get any better than this?? This here is like the pinnacle of good, truly moving and soulful music. I

t's songs like like this that makes it fextra special to be alive!

  • @Hruundi agree with you 100% this song is so romantic.

  • @Hruundi ,

does it get any better than this? this what I call music, and I feel so good when I ever listen to this type of songs!!!!!!!
