  • This plus source engine = Jesus christ holy damn

  • :) dust 514 will be using this tech, aint ccp just the best :D

  • It would be great for a Splinter Cell game

  • this will be mindblowing in games if they use it to its fullest potential. anyone know the name of this song or is it just made for this video?

  • If you go to geomericsDOTcom website, they have a 50mg HD download of this video. Epic is integrating this into it's UE3 Engine. Completely cross platform on average GPU. Sony Playstation won't have to run this on RSX GPU. Geomerics is excited about including their other technologies on just a sliver of 1 Cell BE SPE! This is an incredibly robust technology using Cambridge U. "Geometric Algebra" to calculate light and shadow per pixel!!! :D

  • gpgpuDOTorg > "Geomerics, a new R&D company based in Cambridge UK, have recently announced a real-time radiosity simulation running entirely on the GPU. The solution runs at up to 100hz on common graphics hardware and allows for fully dynamic lighting, including spot-lights, projected texture or video lighting, and area lights." maybe real? ¬¬

  • those models are perdy horrible, but this is such an amazing thing... The freedom is incredible.. I'm sure in a good developer's hands this would work wonders.

  • The Character Models Look worst then PLAYSTATION 2 Graphics. This teck seems to kick ass on Dynamic Lighting, It better be able to do the same for Dynamic Geometry

I wanna see a shadow pop-off of every Scar on Simon Fenix's ugly stepped on face.

  • lol xbox fanboys...

  • Simon? lawl.

  • That music was really nice. What would that be classified as?

  • probably ambient breakbeat

  • My question is what hardware would they need to run this? Because if it needs the lastest and greatest, best money can buy, then it may not see much of a life in the gaming industry at this point.

  • It is being developed for the XBox 360 and PS3. We develop on mid-range PCs with (now) mid-range DirectX 9, SM 3.0 cards.

  • song?

  • The music in the video was an in house production.

  • can you post a link to download it, if possible that would be great

  • This is da shiz.

  • This is nice

  • duhh, thats what the engine is for

  • The real question is that can this lighting technique be achieved in real-time with everything else, or is it a one-trick pony?
