Honestly, in the US Open finals, I don't think Serena lost the match to Stosur. I think Stosur WINS it and won it convincingly 62 63. Stosur was hitting clean winners, forcing Serena to errors with her forehand heavy top-spin and returning Serena's 2nd serve with depth and interest. The final point was actually a 2nd serve return big-forehand-winner from Stosur. So, congratulations Sam!

@JordanjamesX even talking about the US Open final. I would say that Stosur did not win, but Serena lost the match. She is a much better player than Samantha. She was absent on court and Samantha took advantage of it.... Above all, my kudos to Samantha. I am happy, she won her first grand slam and she seems to also be a nice person.

Stosur is good for sure she's top 10 but in the big matches she always cracks under pressure and just can't come through with the big win. Sharapova also destroyed Stosur in the finals of the Italian Open this year in straight sets as well.

I think Serena played well but she is one of many favourites that can win the US OPEN. The truth is anything can happen in a grand slam. Kim Clijsters, Sharapova, Kuznetsova, Kvitova, can get on a hot streak and win. Maybe someone like Jankovic or Wozniacki can sneak through and win too.

@JordanjamesX Jankovic will NOT win. She has been playing terribly. Clijsters keeps getting injured. Kuznetsova hasnt done anything even remotely impressive since 2009. Petra has a chance. Sharapova has been choking a lot lately. And Wozniacki is a complete burnout. She definitely wont win. Serena is THE favorite. Not the only favorite, but she is the top one.
