I gave it a few tries but the track is much longer and wider, there are only 3 laps, bumpers and zippers everywhere, shrooms, the track is moving as thwomps are striking it... too many differences to make me wanna fight hard there. :(

I beat Rainbow road when I was little in 45 seconds and I am not bsing. I have a strategy that worked perfect. It involved hitting the right squares to cross and a lot of practice on drifing. It was worth it

man, I`d like to have my snes back again. doing drift all the way (I mean, not only on the turns, doing drift all the time, u can get insane speed all the time, making u able to do all the 3 laps in some 1:10:00 to 1:15:00 - sorry but I dont remember, thats years I dont have a snes)

I would love to see someone drifting all the time so I could remember the fun of it.

drifting all the time and using star power gives u the real insane speed, make u able to do this track in less than 1:00:00

What are you meaning? Drifting doesn't make the kart running faster, especially on a track like this one. Perhaps you're getting confused with boosting techniques, but even with them, it's even impossible to break that kind of record by 2 seconds, so...

For sure I'm fucking gay, I played this record on a NTSC cartridge, as far as I know it's not forbidden to play on NTSC stuff in Europe, as far as you own stuff enough to run it properly. :)

Let's just assume it is genuine for a minute. What's the point when you know that other can cheat and make it look authentic?

Cheaters are banned for life from the official players' site. Even if we don't have a proof of every personal record which is sent on this site, it's a question of trust, all the biggest players are well known between each other for years, and many of us regularly meet ourselves to play together, and everyone had the opportunity to see each other's skills, then admit all the best records in the world are genuine. ;-)

I believe you then. But what's the point? The point is to beat other people's records and show the world how good you are. But I know that anyone could easily use an emulated version and this totally puts me off.

Is the Snes version out on the wii shop channel yet? I think it is. Try playing it through the wii so we can see the wii menu and everything.

It hasn't come out in Europe yet, only Japanese and USA Wii owners can play it. But they would need a SFC Wii pad (not very cheap and a bit hard to find) to play at the same level as the one you can reach on a genuine SNES.

However, we can also play live videos on a TV showing the SNES cartridge just behind and even the player performing at the same time. But emulator users are rather easy to recognize on their videos, they always make a mistake sometimes, like people who make counterfeits ;-)

I can use an emulator, slow it down and use save states and make it look like it was played on a telly. Can you show us proof that this is not an emulated version?

This was filmed on my TV screen, only big freaky liars broadcast their emulator replays on a TV screen... if this is not enough for you, let me tell you that a few dozens of people who played against me on this planet can tell this video is 100% authentic and performed on a Super Nintendo system with an original cartridge.

Too bad you live so far away from me, I'd be very pleased to meet you and perform this kind of performance just close to you ;-)

This would be impossible in the PAL version, because the NTSC version is at 60 Hz, and the PAL version is at 50 Hz.
