It's funny how envoronmentalists fail to mention the abundance of coral reefs that simply would not exist had they not attatched to oil rigs. Everywhere where there are oil rigs you will find an abundance of natural life taking advantage of the rig structure. Fact: ALL RIGS IF LEFT IN THE SEA BECOME CORAL REEFS. The longer the rig is there, the more life it becomes home to. So for all those that want oil rigs gone think just how much life you would destroy by removing the rigs.

Just for the sake of record BP is not British Petroleum anymore - its just BP - thats the brand name. Calling by its historical name which includes the word British, is unhelpful and carries anti-British implications. BP is a global company. This accident could have occurred anywhere. BP actually employ more people in the US than in Britain. The mess should be cleaned up, lessons learned and everyone should move on.
The subcontractors hired by BP are also to blame for this oil spill. BP bought the rights to drill in the Gulf of Mexico and rented the rigg and rented subcontractors to drill the well. Why didn't the rigg and well inspector find these problems and report them to their superiors to correct any infractions which could have negated this disaster.

One i am swimming still thank you. two i never voted for bush and have nothing to do with the war, and three we all know that 9/11 was about terrorists however if you think about it they could have came from saudi for all we know and i don't understand why we invaded a country to look for one man (osama) but ok. @llangol exactly i don't see why people blame the countries when it's those who are in control of the rig itself. Sometimes i think poeple post to either start flame wars or get back at one another for some reason.

This oil spill is a huge environmental disaster, yes, and people died -> but why would UK wish plot against 1 single oil rig and kill innocent people?? ROFL thats the thing though. It was a rig located in the Gulf of MExico that was staffed by American workers using US-made equipment. But typical fucking Americans will have to blame someone else

Just for the sake of record BP is not British Petroleum anymore - its just BP - thats the brand name. Calling by its historical name which includes the word British, is unhelpful and carries anti-British implications. BP is a global company. This accident could have occurred anywhere. BP actually employ more people in the US than in Britain. The mess should be cleaned up, lessons learned and everyone should move on.

The subcontractors hired by BP are also to blame for this oil spill. BP bought the rights to drill in the Gulf of Mexico and rented the rigg and rented subcontractors to drill the well. Why didn't the rigg and well inspector find these problems and report them to their superiors to correct any infractions which could have negated this disaster.
