I think that's the amazing part. That no matter how flawed we are, how many times we screw up, there is still someone who has unconditional love for us. Someone who was willing to die for us. It's not about religion, to me that's just a word. I believe there is a God, even if we can't see him. That's why we have faith. And if we have faith in him, he will give us more proof than we need to know he is real. I for one can't go without prayer, for the simple fact that I love to talk to my Savior.

@badgescops the old testament has been placed obsolete in certain areas. the main area is the one in which who goes to heaven and who goes to hell. ever since the last king of judah and israel, the only way a person would be guaranteed a place in heaven was his obedience to God, to the point of denying his friends and family, even himself. so even if you are a descendant of levi, your place in heaven is not guaranteed unless you obey God completely and unquestioningly.

I think that's the amazing part. That no matter how flawed we are, how many times we screw up, there is still someone who has unconditional love for us. Someone who was willing to die for us. It's not about religion, to me that's just a word. I believe there is a God, even if we can't see him. That's why we have faith. And if we have faith in him, he will give us more proof than we need to know he is real. I for one can't go without prayer, for the simple fact that I love to talk to my Savior.

@badgescops the old testament has been placed obsolete in certain areas. the main area is the one in which who goes to heaven and who goes to hell. ever since the last king of judah and israel, the only way a person would be guaranteed a place in heaven was his obedience to God, to the point of denying his friends and family, even himself. so even if you are a descendant of levi, your place in heaven is not guaranteed unless you obey God completely and unquestioningly.

@badgescops it says that in when god is making a covenant with the israelites. but a covenant is a 2 art agreement. the isaelites didn't keep up their part of the deal so he cut them off and the covenant was null and void. he then sent his son to make a new blood pact. and that is his new covenant with all earth. we have to keep up our part of the contract to get the benefits.

@7heRed Well i was referring to adam and eve which is many years before the egyptians so they could have easily known about decomposition. Also why do you have to refer to the bibles teachings as ridiculous? they do have a lot of relevance. ANYWAY my poinr was that the bible first coined scientific principles before society caught up to it. God saying to the jews not to have sex with their cousins, we now know why. So those laws had scientific relevance

@7heRed And if what was commanded by 'God' back then has scientific basis and if they had no way of knowing that incest caused such bad things then I'd say that points to a higher being calling the shots AKA God.

@7heRed But you can't disprove it. Everyone believes in something, whether they admit it or not. Ask and you shall receive, knock and the door will be opened. There's a whole 'nother world out there and you can live a life of total peace and joy. Believe it or not it's always on your side-God is not in control down here we are and as such we have to allow Him to be a part of our lives, but when we do life suddenly becomes "alive" and we can begin to realize our place in the universe.

@codnameviper that's strange, I feel just fine without buying into that. My life has plenty of joy in it. Remember when you were a little kid and you believed in Santa Claus? I imagine you felt pretty giddy and high on life then, too. You can't convince me that something that does not exist will improve my life, infact I'm offended that you assume I'm so simple-minded that you could. Not that my life is in any need for improvement that I am not already well down the road of achieving.

@7heRed well you cant exactlt disprove it either. I say the trees and life is evidence of God existing, how can you disprove that? How can I prove that? Answer: no way. And as I said it does have some relevant principles

@Stumperx Hey uh I dont know what these other christians are thinking but what they are supposed to be telling you is that God loves you. He has always loved u and always will. The bible tells Christ followers to "love others because God first loved us" not "debate with others because God first debated with us" or "argue with others because God first argued with us". I apologize for my non loving(therefore non-christ-representing) christian bro's and sis's that have been misrepresenting God

I live in ak, there are huge mountains everywhere I look, how did they get there? Did a single celled organism do it "millions and billions of years ago"? Did you make the mountains???? Who did??? There had to be some creator, it was God, how could such a complex world be made from absolutely nothing?? So yes, I may not see God directly but I see the result of his existence everyday
