I´m brazilian and I don´t like Carnaval too. Enjoying the rehearsals and the parties at the Samba School is a lot of fun, but I really don´t like the parades. It´s just that the mood is not the same.

If you think about it, Sao Paulo is very similar to Mexico City (the greatest city in the world!!), only chilly. I hope you can visit Mexico City one day, I know I have got to visit Sao Paulo =)
