I can't help but wonder if this hit isn't proof Booth's head is still not right from the Richard's hit. Obviously this was an aggressive check, but Booth falling to the ice was quite delayed. It just seems odd he was this injured from a hit like this that he probably could have withstood pre-Richard's headshot.

Booth just got checked hard, so they will retaliate on his behalf. And you'll notice the "fight" stopped rather quickly, once they noticed Booth wasn't getting up.

Everybody knows hockey is a rough sport and they always say not to skate with your head down. Having said that a hit does'nt necessarily have to be illegal to be dirty. There have been certain players over the years who have had the reputation of deliberately trying to injure guys. Since the league generally seems to ignore it the players have to take matters into their own hands. Instead of crying for suspensions the teams of the injured players need to go out and brain somebody too.
