@1B72M Yeah battle of the bulge is a great example. Bastonge, Germans greatly outnumbered the US paras, had more tanks, the paras had no allied air support, no resupply for days, no winter uniforms, they still fought off every German attack and held for a week until relieved.

Even though Japan was not entirely allied with Germany, it was America that declared war with them. And even the British army alone was a Big fish to catch.
The British had 32 divisions during WWII, 1/10th of what Germany did. The US had 90, 1/3rd. The Germans lost mainly because of the Russians.
The Italians performance was mediocre, but the US and British were mainly fighting them until 1943 (only 3 German divisions in North Africa vs well over a dozen Italian). Hungarian, Romanian and Italian soldiers made up 33% of all axis soldiers on the eastern front. The US navy was mostly in the pacific.
The Tiger was also a poor tank, but a very good tank killer. Poor operational mobility, expensive costs and it still has a grossly inflated kill ratio because there was no vetting of tank claims like there were for Luftwaffe pilots. The OKH regularly halved German tank claims in an attempt to get an accurate picture of actual Russian losses.
Every German tank after Barbarossa made incorporated elements of the T-34. Slopped Armour and wide tracks being the biggest influences.

I had family in a German Panzer Grenadier unit who died on the Eastern Front and family in the Marines who died on Iwo Jima, war is absolutely Hell but it makes me so proud to be a German American and to see what my forefathers went through for their countries, God Bless Our Soldiers no matter what country they stand for, they are still family

I have seen a lot of videos and documentaries, but I think this is one of the best ones I have seen. This video was done quite well and the music was perfect for it! It is so sad that the only answer to over population, is war. Especially when none of the suppliers of weapons ever want another answer; since there are so many more, but none are ever uttered.

The Germans had recruitment programs in various occupied countries which aimed at turning citizens into German soldiers.The 373rd infantry battalion of Wehrmach was a German battalion comprised of Belgians.Frikorps Danmark was created in Denmark to recruit Danish Nazi’s. I solute the men who fought for their countries or were forced to fight for their countries. I DO NOT solute the SS and those who ran the camps
