that is completley possible as they have done simalar things in movies that used this software but think about it. there are hundreds of people working on films and on average it takes 3 years to make. now i dont know how many people were working on this but probably less so just think how long it would take. saying that if anyone that knows the software well and has dedication and alot of time on there hands it is possible given time
Is there any way i could contact you for your services? I'm in pre-production stages of my first feature film and need to create immense numbers of crowds for battle scenes. Thanks for any reply!
This is probably out-of-date but if you're still looking for animators to do this kind of thing check out my channel, you'll find my web address and therefore contact details and examples of my work.
That is excellent work! I was wondering, would you happen to know of a good tutorial which lays out how to do something such as the simulation you have done? I am a new Houdini user and I a working on a personal project which involves creating armies in the thousands of agents. Also I was wondering do you know if Daz Studio/Poser characters are compatible with Houdini? Thanks in advance. Any advice would be greatly apprecieted.
I have no idea about any tut. covering crowd sim in H. - although this stress-test follows basic approach applicable in all decent environments and used for many years in productions. This is simply particles simulation with animation loops applied on each particle - four loops blended according to particles speed. As to Houdini, just go through all available learning materials and you will be ale to recreate this effects very soon. Such things (like most others) are trivial in Houdini! Cheers!
now make a foot come down and squash them all...

This is cool. Although its not like massive simulation. this would do the job for most crowd shots.

If possible, you should simulate a crowd running from attacking objects (falling objects, attacking monsters, holes appearing, projectiles, etc.)

This is kinda odd... Captured by OGL? OGL also stands for Only Gays Look. That's really worrying.

Don't you have anything smarter to say? OGL - OpenGL.
