I love this video! My family is Polish (Norosky) and we've always done this-- but i asked a guy from Poland who said he'd never even heard of it...so who's knows how it all started.
Do you guys have Polish Easter soup/easter bread as well? We always celebrate with my dad's family who is Polish.. never done the egg thing, though. Oh and kielbasa=the only good sausage. ;)
