@EdisonCollector I'm looking for this model bike, I had many a chance to get them cheap. Of course now that I am looking for one, I can't find one... Neat Bike, Good Luck w/it...
Small motors like this don't seem to be too bothered by unleaded. Just the same, I use a little lead substitute in mine to be safe. Unless you get the bike cheap, I'd stay away from one with that high a mileage. While you can possibly free it by pouring some penetrating oil down the cylinder and letting it sit, I'd be suspicious of a locked-up motor. Unless you have the ability to tear into it and rebuild it if necessary, figure that motor is toast. But OK motors show up on ebay often
@EdisonCollector I'm assuming this comment was directed towards me but maybe you didn't push the reply button.
I bought the bike complete for $150. The motor hasn't ran since 1978 so I took the head off to inspect the cylinder. The cylinder is stuck but I am using PB Blaster to try and free it up.
The spark plug snapped off in the head and I broke an extractor trying to get the damn thing out! This spark plug issue is turning out to be the hardest to solve. Any suggestions??
@Bosmob Trash the head and get one off ebay. I have a performance head that;'s had some porting work done to it to improve air flow and up HP a little, that I could sell you for $100 if interested. But you can buy a stock head for around $25-$40 on ebay if you're patient
@Bozzmancommeth Well, could be: dead battery, points burned out or misadjusted, or bad coil. Ty pulling spark plug cap off its wire. Hook a 6 volt charger to the battery terminals and check for spark. If none, cut about 1/8" of the wire off, and spread out the untarnished wires yo they will make good contact with the cap (might even go buy a new cap). Often that is the problem. From there, check points and connections to coil. If you can't find any solution, coil may be bad, but that's rare
@afazz2 Get a 14 or 13 tooth sprocket to replace the stock counter-shaft sprocket, and a shifter for a 60s model CB125 twin (sticks out in a better position than stock) off eBay, and it'll be a nicer ride
I want it, LOL

Just make sure it's LOW MILEAGE! Over 4k is really risky unless the owner really took care of it and adjusting the timing chain regularly

How much does unleaded fuel affect these motors?
I'm looking to get one with a frozen motor that last ran in 79 and it has 6,840 miles.
Is this too risky?
