Just a reminder..to hear this as it was intended this track "Ring of Fire" should segue right into "Coloured Rain," (on YouTube with some big Greyhound bus image) the way it was presented on the album "Love Is." Listening to it that way, gives you an entirely bigger scope of this great Eric Burdon and the Animals song production. This is The Animals at their best. Their "Stairway to Heaven" so to speak.

Actually before Johnny Cash recorded it, June Carter's sister Anita Carter, recorded it, About six months prior to Johnny Cash. So even though it was a huge hit for Johnny Cash, his version is actually cover of the song.

Kinda cool I played this version of Ring Fire for my Uncle a hard core Country Western lover and player and he told it was better than Johnny Cash's ,I love em both,That was about 37 or years ago.
