This is what I mean by Linda's weird "keep up with the catty Joneses acting." Was it really necessary that she make the statement about the private nurses with such fiery contempt? The conversation hadn't risen to that level of outward vitriol yet, and there she is banging out her lines like she is inches from a catfight RIGHT THERE on Steven's sick bed.
I cannot believe it was THAT easy for Alexis to unnerve her character... No. All that extra "attitude" is really uncharacteristic of the Krystle we knew at this point. In the same way, when she asks Toscanni "Who are you anyway?" in the previous episode, it seems far too knowing.
Linda had a really magical quality about her in Season 1 that I love. Even in confrontation, she was always so cool... sometimes eerily calm in a way that strikes you. As Season 2 unfolds, I think the addition of Joan Collins is a bit of a jolt for her, and as a result Krystle just became a witch for the sake of being one in order to compete with her new nemesis (lest I not forget that she already had the step-daughter from hell). Her acting remains strong, but now overly so.
Despite Alexis' consistently duplicitous manner, Krystle somehow manages to be the annoying one... And we're not even in Season 3 yet. lol
And as for the character goes, how insensitive to remark about Alexis being in the house at a time when Steven has just nearly died. Is she not supposed to visit her own son under his father's roof while on his sick bed? I thought Krystle was the sympathetic character? What a bitch.
The actual episode or my video? My intention here is to focus on the infamous rivalry between Krystle and Alexis and stay away from other storylines as much as possible (for instance, a lot of upcoming scenes between Nick and Krystle).
I was referring to the actual episode. I don't think they showed Steven waking up, or maybe I just forgot the scene... I'll have to go and look.
As always, your videos are perfect. lol They should have hired you to create the featurette content for their dvd's. lol Throw in some stuff from Appalling Trash and you've got a box set to die for. lol
Oh, thank you :) - I was checking because there certainly is a scene with Steven waking up, I just thought it wasn't one of Al Corley's finest moments (and he did do some great work for the show).

The actual episode that this comes from really should have included the moment when Steven wakes up.

Great video clip. I LOVED the rivalry between Krystal and Alexis on Dynasty.
