its a terrible thing but i can remember in school we had like at the end of the day a reading time and it was charlottes web and i asked the teacher if i could go home cause i go a sore head ache and the next day at 11 at night we were watching a movie and then i screamed and i got rushed to dumfries royal infirmary and then went to york hill and i remember a few weeks ago i burst out crying cause someone had spreaded i had meningitis and people were avoiding me. :'(

Hello my friend, the pain that you're now trying to perdit of Jyanah-Rae is very strong, non'è easy to overcome. Today we know that this ugly evil attacking all'inprovviso estiparlo must give all possible support to the necessary funds to carry out this project hoping that he may soon find the antidote or vaccine to neutralize .. This is tragic. But something doesn't make sense about the conclusions. The vaccines can only protect against viral meningitis, not bacterial, and viral meningitis usually resolves on its own and is rarely fatal. So did this little angel have bacterial meningitis? No vaccine could have prevented that. Maybe there should be a test or doctors and parents should be better trained to detect it early. I have heard several stories of babies being sent home, then dying.

I am part of a drama group that raises for meningitis and this video was played on the night of one of our drama performance. Everyone in the audience cried and backstage. We then raised over £200. Carrying on to trying to raise more to find a vaccine. Hope it somehow helps

i'm so sorry for your loss.. my niece just died a week ago, had everything the same as your little one, and was sent home because they thought she had da flu, and on the day she got really sick she died in hours :( i miss her heaps.. god bless you and be strong.. god won't let anything happen to them..

I was 8 and I got this surgery to cure a hearing problem I had as a baby . . .I got released the day after surgery and literally played BINGO with my family that night . . .I got meningitis the next day. It really just seemed like a sudden fever . . .I lost my right ear's hearing . . .7 years later . . .I'm 15 now, and I've made it my life long goal to make something of myself . . . in memories of kiddies like this beutiful little girl . . .

my grandson contracted meningitis at 4 weeks and survived not always the case but the gp diagnosed in 20minutes and had him on the correct medication and drips before the ambulance arrived hes now 2 and the gp is a very firm family friend i feel your loss being so close ourselves we have videos as an appreciation onour channel

My 12 weeks old son is in the hospital at this moment battling Salmonella Meningitis. That scariest part about this whole thing is how close we came to losing our child. I'm soooo thankful that doctor in the ER took swift action to find out the cause of my baby's fever....the doctor said another 24 hours and my story would be similar to this one.

I lost my friend Demi to menningococcal meningitis in 2003. She was only 15 and had contracted the disease from a basketball camp she had attended. She came home on a Saturday and died the following Tuesday morning. It took her quickly without any warning. I'm glad there are people like you to raise awarness because it can happen to anyone at anytime. God bless you!

I'm in tears after watching this. I know & have felt the pain this mother went through. My 3yr old son, Landan Harris, died 11/16/06 from Meningococcal Meningitis. I can't believe how quickly it can take over our bodies. It's so tragic!

I am in tears. So sorry that this beautiful little girl was taken because of such an awful disease. I had Bac Men in January and am fortunate to be alive. Seeing stories like Jessicas puts it in perspective and I realsie how lucky I have been. Its wrong that the Government do not fund the research of a vaccine. How many more childrens lives have to be lost before they make a difference. Godbless Jessica!
