These are sold/distributed over here in the UK by the company 'SMK (Sportsmarketing)'; they are still known by the model name 'B3'. The market for airguns is very big over here due to strict laws on firearms; SMK are the main distributor for Chinese airguns. Although their guns are a bit 'hit & miss', the B3 is quite a popular SMK rifle. Hope this helps somehow!
Which hole do you load the pellet in? theres 2 holes where the piston thing is, but I don't know if its firing correctly, and what caliber is it? Im using .177
£9.99 from argos lol - my mate bought two from a boot sale for £15 the first one fell apart the second one well he threw it away in the end due to it firing on its own when cocked - total crap chinese air rifles to be honest but what do you expect for something so cheap - get a real gun get a weihrauch etc hahaha the chinese are only good at making currys hahaah - john
Wow. I saw one similar to this at a pawn shop here where I live. It was a side lever model .177. Unfortunately the barrel appeared to be bent, as the front sights were off center from the rear sight about .25 inch. Bummer. Just like this one, no safety, or anti-beartrap feature! Would have liked to have bought it for the $25 they were asking, but not with a bent barrel.
I have this same gun and I was wandering does anyone know how to aim with this gun I have my site lowered all the way and it shoots high really high it's like dead on at 50 yard no joke. I got to aim below everything I shoot and I miss alot. I've killed like 5 squirrels with it
I have the same type gun... and it needs a new seal between the breach and the barrel... where can I get them, or how can I make one.... thanks for the video...
@GooberPeaable I have a video showing how to repair that using a faucet washer. Very cheap and simple to do. Repairing your Chinese B3 Air Rifle Breach Seal -- Good luck!
@GooberPeaable I have a Bam b4 which is a simular type of gun and I think I know what you mean; the bit where the barrel connects to the main part of the weapon? it would be best if you improvised with a thin strip of rubber. I recently added a custom spring to mine and it's great! (could do with a new seal at some point though) why bother to buy an expensive co2 which constantly costs money when you can just buy something cheap and modify it, fun!
i have old chinese and its more powerful than any airgun in shop but still its not as good as daisy or other very powerful rifles but normal pellet goes thru metal cap of jam jar i was very suprised i also made new seals so dont judge which country made it ;)
Looks like the SMK DB4 currently sold in the UK. The current ones have an anti-bear trap mechanism, but you have to ensure the underlever is fully pulled back to engage. To state the obvious, always hold the underlever when loading.
With the cheaper Chinese imports, if you are lucky and get a good one, they are great value. If you get a bad one, well...
Glad to se the viewers see my point. That is exactly the reason you don't see these guns sold by all the tool stores that "used" to sell them such as harbor frieght and others. They were way dangerous. Save your money and buy a real quality air rifle.......a weihrauch or a german made beeman made by weihrauch. I suggest the beeman R7 and R9 you will never regret owning either of these. My buddy on here as airgunfun2112 will back me up on that. he really knows his sh*t about airguns!
That video response there about the killer bees--unfunny and irresponsible. A man was killed in the area where I live not too long ago by actual Africanized bees. More recently, the fire dept. had to be called to eliminate a swarm that had invaded a store parking lot and swarmed some cars. Those bees are no joke. I wouldn't want that video attached to any of my videos.
WOW I brought one of though's cheap air rifles (the first gun he shows) when I was 13years old (I am 28 now!) and they are still been made lol..really thought that they would have been banned due to peoples unjurys!
@mutyang1 I've heard of that, but I don't know if MANY people have had the happen to them. I think the best rule of thumb (literally?) when loading this rifle is to always hold the cocking handle with one hand- just in case. I have never had my rifle "bear trap" on me. Probably because I make a habit of holding the cocking lever when I load it.
@taofledermaus Smart man. read the comment I left mutyang1... Those guns are really dangerous. As a matter of fact the store I bought mine from stopped carrying them after I returned mine. I told them what happened to my buddy & they were all off the shelf's within a week. They did not want to get sued. I always held the cocking lever when i loaded mine because I had seen it "bear trap" before. luckily my finger was not in the chamber, but the cocking lever gave me a nasty bruise on my forearm.
@mutyang1 That actually happened to my best friend, I was there when it happened... basically he was loading it, and I guess he didnt quite cock it all the way, The bolt slammed shut full force on his index finger; I had to run over and had to get the gun off of him. Blood was everywhere, his finger looked like hamburger. The doctors told him he they would have to amputate; but he got lucky & ended up getting something like 20 or 30 stitches and had to wear this finger brace for months... nasty
with the reloading problem, you could cot one side off a straw and secure that in there. So then you just pt the pellet in the straw and slide it forward into the hole
the breech resembles the older feinwerkbaws as you may knoe the Chinese have a lust for copy things. Today they have far better guns. by the way the Chinese invented the handgun in AD1128
I watched the video a few times and I thinks it could be a earlier model of the 750FPS Pellet Gun. The differences between this and the 750 is the rear sight, as the 750 has the grooved addition for the scope, The rifle sling attachments and woodwork on the butt. The mechanism is the same Spring piston mechanism. If you read this, can you please respond on the barrel length, should be 17,5 inches. Visit my channel for the 750 FPS review.
@TravelSouthernAfrica I don't have the rifle handy to measure it but I DO know this rifle only shoots 600 fps. I bought my rifle in the early 90's so there are probably many changes and improvements since mine was made.
@taofledermaus By the way, if you look at one of my video's on "drivers training" I trained military drivers to tow 35 mm AA guns in sandy conditions. Two guns are connected to a FCU (Fire control Unit with a log on radar system) That FCU was called the "fledermaus" The swiss word for a bat. I wonder if you speak German or Swiss German? The Gun system was built by Oerlikon. My language is Afrikaans and we called it "vlermuis". Johan.
@mutyang1 haha- I don't think too many people have commented on the gloves. It's actually a joke. I always get a laugh when people wear gloves in videos unnecessarily.
I've this gun and its elevation really sucks. The barrel's bend is not fully adjusted and as a result when you shoot, it hits 5 inches below than your actual aim.
Adjusting windage and elevation screws doesn't really help at all.
@TheBlabla1996 Norinco makes an m-16 knock off. it looks like an m-16 a1 externally but internally it is very crude and ineffective. just gos to show you cant beat the original.
@zaczoid there are virtually no dangers if you are sensible, remember, techinically speaking you are holding a gun, and you could easily kill someone with these, a pellet at 650 feet per second, I went air rifle shooting on friday, It was my first time, and even though it was only a .122 caliber weapon I still didn't mess around with it. Just act safely and be sensible and you will be fine, I've now got to convince my mum to let me get one :) and I am 15.
this is gun is pretty good for hunting , only you need to put a good scope on , it is very powerful , I use it for regulary hunt rabbits, small varmits, snakes, etc... and so far I have any problem from this particular air gun , Im convinced that is a well build,(wood and steel) no plastic shit, a good invest after all
What are you doing? We need this Chinese crap in Europe and North America like a man with a wooden leg needs termites. What are you trying to do, under mine the Domestic manufacturers ?
@taofledermaus The mechanism that holds the piston chamber open is called a 'bear trap'. You can see it if you remove the stock. I always hold the cocking arm open with my arm (mine is a side-cocking arm), or you could simply put a bolt in the opening while you load it.
I have re-discovered the joys of airgunning. Hope you enjoy yours! Nice find by-the-way!
Not something you can pass down to your kids like a rws air rifle but a good throw away rifle for cheap i guess. I am not a fan of made in China goods.
I have the same gun I bought it from an auction for 20 $ It will go through a half inch peace of particle board at 50 yards. I drilled and tapped it and installed a scope on it and it is as powerful as many pellet rifles that sell for the 200 $ range I just don't know any more about its history that you do but if I could find some more of them for the same price Id buy a hand full of them,
@psiturbo Removed the stock, stripped the finnish, shaved alot of bulk off and streamlined the stock, refinished with linseed oil and bees wax, hacked rear sight off of its mount and filed a dove tail for mounting an optic and after the first 10 years I had to cast a new breech seal and it is still going strong for about 20 years now!
@taofledermaus The mechanism that holds the piston chamber open is called a 'bear trap'. You can see it if you remove the stock. I always hold the cocking arm open with my arm (mine is a side-cocking arm), or you could simply put a bolt in the opening while you load it.

@zaczoid It could be dangerious. Somehow you will have to work out a deal with her and earn her trust that you won't use the gun in a dangerous way. Mayby only shoot it if she is present. My mom was the same way but I never was able to convince her that guns are only as dangerous as the person holding it.
These cheap air rifles are good enough. I've had mine for over 2 years now and shot 12000+ pellets with it. All i did is just taking good care of it. Never shoot when it's raining, only fire pellets and lubricate the inside parts once every ~3000 shots. I haven't lost any fps since I bought it.
@taofledermaus yeah, i admit that i already knew this, i remembered this after i posted... also, i just did this with my Crosman Phantom 1000 with what i thought was a water based oil, cause it didnt say flammable on the back or anything and it scared me shitless. O_o also sounded like a 22 long.
@firebug0001 This rifle only shoots at 600 fps, and it really doesn't diesel as well as a higher power rifle. My 800fps Winchester 800x will do it- but the Chinese rifle just makes the pellets smoke. It is startling when they do explode though, I know exactly what you mean!
@taofledermaus yeah, when i used the crosman lead free wadcutters when i showed my grandfather, he was afraid people would call him ad ask why he was shooting a 22. lol those pellets do make the crack without oil and the H&N target trophy greens do it somewhat as well.
@rammsteinlover1337 I've never had that problem where the breech snaps shut. I've shot thousands of pellets in this rifle. I've heard of isolated incidents where some of these have done that though.
@rammsteinlover1337 i got and airsoft gun where u load it at same way it was pretty cheap but damn it hurt when the lever fly back and hit my fingers and then with and air rifle i think it could break u fingers
@agentkapser yes We had one of these (not that model) when i was younger and my dad always load it cuz sometimes flied back and some times snaped his fingers
@Rotoziptheman You know what's funny? I think you are the first person to coment on the gloves. It's sort of an inside joke- people wearing gloves when they are doing gun and knife reviews on Youtube. I always thought the gloves were going overboard and actually funny. I'm just that way I guess. :_)
i got da same one i knew it was design 2 luk like a sk. i just neva knew da name. do it shoot .22 pellets cuz i've been usin .177 pellets. my borther bought it from traders village. for 40. . .
@TaoFledermaus I am one of those airsoft and pellet subscribers! And I know I saw the camera and it can do 1000 fps at tops! I was amazed at the price too. Crazy!

ammo is dirt cheap for 500 shots
you dont need to wait 7 days to buy one has as much power as a 22.cal pistol and about 400$ cheaper
cons gets old and spring piston wears out ;(

TeDuaMalakie 1 year ago
What are you doing? We need this Chinese crap in Europe and North America like a man with a wooden leg needs termites. What are you trying to do, under mine the Domestic manufacturers ?
BlackCountryPuddler 1 year ago

I drilled and tapped it and installed a scope on it and it is as powerful as many pellet rifles that sell for the 200 $ range I just don't know any more about its history that you do but if I could find some more of them for the same price Id buy a hand full of them,

tobysteve22 1 year ago
Have you done any mods?
psiturbo 1 year ago
@psiturbo Removed the stock, stripped the finnish, shaved alot of bulk off and streamlined the stock, refinished with linseed oil and bees wax, hacked rear sight off of its mount and filed a dove tail for mounting an optic and after the first 10 years I had to cast a new breech seal and it is still going strong for about 20 years now!

You should start using ballistic gel
mk100012 1 year ago
I bought one of those from a place called "Cummins Industrial Tools" for $25. IMO not a bad buy, it has pretty decent power and accuracy.
physilcybe4me 1 year ago
@physilcybe4me You can't beat it for the price. That's for sure!
taofledermaus 1 year ago
Looking at Amazon it is called the B3 Air rifle (.22) and B3-1 (.177), exactly the same as the one in this video. Amazon sells it for 44.00.

Kaleb673 1 year ago
@mongrelmob100 I've heard of that happening. I think they call it a "bear trap" when it does that.

how dangerous is it my mum said no to getting one because of the dangers
zaczoid 1 year ago
@zaczoid It could be dangerious. Somehow you will have to work out a deal with her and earn her trust that you won't use the gun in a dangerous way. Mayby only shoot it if she is present. My mom was the same way but I never was able to convince her that guns are only as dangerous as the person holding it.
taofledermaus 1 year ago
@taofledermaus ok thanks for that tip
zaczoid 1 year ago
@zaczoid tell her you wont be using it to hit people and tell her you will only fire when your parents are there and only shoot at targets...
bulldude8796 1 year ago
@zaczoid they are only dangerous if you are not responsible

great video!
ParaglidingManiac 1 year ago
my friend has that gun and ironically he's asian lol
dominic970 1 year ago
What Or how big of pellets dose the top one shoot? i got one from my Grandpa for Christmas & i need some new pellets! Plz Respond
TheFailCollectionz 1 year ago
@TheFailCollectionz You should be able to find them at Walmart, ect. They are .177 caliber. pellets.
taofledermaus 1 year ago
why is there smoke behind the pellet sometimes? is it from the gun diesoling?
firebug0001 1 year ago
@firebug0001 Exactly. I put a little oil on the pellets and if the sun is hitting it right, you can see some nice smoke trails. It's a neat effect.
taofledermaus 1 year ago
@taofledermaus yeah, i admit that i already knew this, i remembered this after i posted... also, i just did this with my Crosman Phantom 1000 with what i thought was a water based oil, cause it didnt say flammable on the back or anything and it scared me shitless. O_o also sounded like a 22 long.
firebug0001 1 year ago
@firebug0001 This rifle only shoots at 600 fps, and it really doesn't diesel as well as a higher power rifle. My 800fps Winchester 800x will do it- but the Chinese rifle just makes the pellets smoke. It is startling when they do explode though, I know exactly what you mean!
taofledermaus 1 year ago
@taofledermaus yeah, when i used the crosman lead free wadcutters when i showed my grandfather, he was afraid people would call him ad ask why he was shooting a 22. lol those pellets do make the crack without oil and the H&N target trophy greens do it somewhat as well.
firebug0001 1 year ago
how dangerous is the leaver i heard the leaver can fly back and break ur fingers
rammsteinlover1337 1 year ago
@rammsteinlover1337 I've never had that problem where the breech snaps shut. I've shot thousands of pellets in this rifle. I've heard of isolated incidents where some of these have done that though.
taofledermaus 1 year ago
@rammsteinlover1337 i got and airsoft gun where u load it at same way it was pretty cheap but damn it hurt when the lever fly back and hit my fingers and then with and air rifle i think it could break u fingers
agentkapser 1 year ago
@agentkapser yes We had one of these (not that model) when i was younger and my dad always load it cuz sometimes flied back and some times snaped his fingers
rammsteinlover1337 1 year ago
@rammsteinlover1337 was it a cheap one my gun only cost 20 dkk. and if you dont know how much it is lets say 5$ i think but it stil hurt very much

why are you wherein gloves?
Rotoziptheman 1 year ago
@Rotoziptheman You know what's funny? I think you are the first person to coment on the gloves. It's sort of an inside joke- people wearing gloves when they are doing gun and knife reviews on Youtube. I always thought the gloves were going overboard and actually funny. I'm just that way I guess. :_)

GoStobe 1 year ago
@TaoFledermaus I am one of those airsoft and pellet subscribers! And I know I saw the camera and it can do 1000 fps at tops! I was amazed at the price too. Crazy!
TheDrummerkid770 1 year ago
@TaoFledermaus It was amazon actually and I think you should make more pellet and airsoft videos. I like how one pellet can cause mass destruction!
