The Orlov trotters are incredible!

(All horses get shaggy and rough-looking in the winter; in a climate like Russia one does not clip the body hair in the winter months. The horses do look a little thin though...especially for a trotter.)

Difficult times in Russia too? The horse industry is horrible in the US as well... I'd love to take one of these horses and get it back into shape... Too bad they are halfway around the world, or I'd take one in a heartbeat, fatten it up, and get it trained.

The horses look good. I wish I had pasture to raise some. Is there a breed conservancy in Russia? Oh don't forget to make sure that the USA company Monsanto does not get a foot hold in Russia because the quality of animal feed and the human food will get worse. Their products are genetically engineered and have polluted other heirloom varieties of plants.
