They are audited by several government agencies including the U.S. Treasury and the GAO. They are accountable to the Executive branch, that's why Ben Bernanke is constantly infront of congress getting grilled. They don't pay taxes since they don't turn a profit.

Uh, yeah, that's how it works. In order to prevent an excess supply of money, the fed destroys a certain amount of what it created. That amount increases and decreases depending on the amount recouped in interest and the amount needed to be put back in circulation. The money that isn't destroyed is rebated to the treasury. What's the national debt total and how is it financed? Is there an interest cost on the outstanding balance? To whom does the interest charge accrue? What is teh ration of GDP to total outstanding debt? Is it even POSSIBLE for the interest on the debt to be funded by Income taxes?
The total national debt right now is 9 Trillion dollars. That includes interest we owe to other countries and interest we "owe" to the Fed; ie: money that is to be removed from circulation to create scarcity and increase the dollar's value. The Fed does not turn a profit, any "profit" is rebated to the treasury annually. Yes it is possible to pay the interest on the national debt.

Not necessarily. Inflation is a tricky thing, and not good in my opinion. In theory, inflation "corrects" itself because we receive cost of living increases, etc.; but in the real world this isn't always true.
Also, if the government really is paying for its own overspending , then how do we know what our income tax is really being spent on? Is our Income tax money being spent on the U.S. Budget, or is it, in a sense, actually just being used to pay off the interest on the money created by the federal reserve?
I am very confused about this, and I am struggling to understand it.

Some part of income tax is used to pay off the debt. Personally, I think the gov. should be more fiscally responsible and pay the debt sooner, even if it means more taxes in the short term.
The spending is outlined in the Budget, which is a large, weighty "document". I gather my information from summaries of the Budget. Google "U.S. Budget Historical Tables".

Section 63 defines Taxable income.

I know I have read it and supreme Court cases that said NO NEW TAX was added by the 16th amendment. This is a MORAL issue. If SOMEONE besides you can decide what you pay out of your labor, you are a SLAVE to that person or entity. PERIOD. Read the Law by Frederic Bastiat. I think it does a great job of explaining the moral issue. That is what the problem is...it is a MORAL issue. No one, PERIOD has the right to my labor without my consent.

You're right, they don't have rights to your labor. They have rights to your income. Income is garnered from your labor. If you choose not to pay taxes, then you choose not to live in American society, so stop working and become a subsistence farmer. But as it is, you choose to benefit from our society, and use our money. So you pay taxes as your dues.

The interest paid to the fed is money destroyed to stop inflation, what is left over is rebated to the treasury. Google "Federal Reserve myths". They are audited by several government agencies including the U.S. Treasury and the GAO. They are accountable to the Executive branch, that's why Ben Bernanke is constantly infront of congress getting grilled. They don't pay taxes since they don't turn a profit.

Uh, yeah, that's how it works. In order to prevent an excess supply of money, the fed destroys a certain amount of what it created. That amount increases and decreases depending on the amount recouped in interest and the amount needed to be put back in circulation. The money that isn't destroyed is rebated to the treasury. It's how it works. I don't know a better way to explain it to you. moneyfactory dot gov.

What's the national debt total and how is it financed? Is there an interest cost on the outstanding balance? To whom does the interest charge accrue? What is teh ration of GDP to total outstanding debt? Is it even POSSIBLE for the interest on the debt to be funded by Income taxes?

The total national debt right now is 9 Trillion dollars. That includes interest we owe to other countries and interest we "owe" to the Fed; ie: money that is to be removed from circulation to create scarcity and increase the dollar's value. The Fed does not turn a profit, any "profit" is rebated to the treasury annually. Yes it is possible to pay the interest on the national debt.

Indeed. In 2006, about 20% of personal income tax receipts went to interest payments. The other roughly 80% went for the goods and services the government provides. Unfortunately, a lot of that is wasteful.

I do not give credit to the feds or the police for the Brown's arrest.
I say that because the time and money they all wasted in order to capture the Browns is a crime itself.
After all, this entire situation could have been avoided.

I have some questions.
According to the conspiracy theorists, the federal reserve prints up its own money out of thin air whenever it wants to pay for its own overspending (like in Iraq for example); thereby, devaluing the dollar.
What I want to know, is how is this ultimately affecting people in America?
Don't we have to work harder, and longer, because the dollar is worth less when this happens?

Not necessarily. Inflation is a tricky thing, and not good in my opinion. In theory, inflation "corrects" itself because we receive cost of living increases, etc.; but in the real world this isn't always true.

Some part of income tax is used to pay off the debt. Personally, I think the gov. should be more fiscally responsible and pay the debt sooner, even if it means more taxes in the short term.
The spending is outlined in the Budget, which is a large, weighty "document". I gather my information from summaries of the Budget. Google "U.S. Budget Historical Tables".

You apparently don't know squat about how laws are enacted in the U.S. There is no "IRS" code. The Codes regarding the IRS are in Title 26 of the U.S. Code. Do you know how U.S. Codes are made law? They follow the procedure laid down in Article 1 Section 7 of the Constitution.

The 16th amendment didn't provide NEW powers of taxation but it did remove the prior Constitutional requirement of apportionment.
