Sometimes, when I stayed at Bangkok I went to cinema theatre (somewhere like MBK) to watch movies . I think most Thailand people don't like to read subtitle,does it right ?

I think it's kinda like a culture revolution in China. but I'm not sure because I don't really know what's going on in China.

The implementation of the regulations as shown in this film is done in a similar way to the Cultural Revolution in China, although not nearly as severe. However, the motivations behind the two incidents are different. The Thais were looking to avoid foreign colonisation while the Chinese were trying to purge the society of practices considered supertitious and bourgeoisie.

Foreign governments from the West with imperialistic designs at that time, such as the UK and France, were largely looking to bring civilisation to 'uncivilised' nations as an excuse to colonise them. This is the concept of 'white man's burden'. So, the Thai government was of the view that if Thailand/Siam were to avoid colonisation, it had to adopt Western ways so that these foreign powers have no excuse to colonise Siam. Hence, the regulations shown in this movie.

@beawreno That time Thailand had changed the form of government. The leader would like to make Thailand more civilized, he set the rules of canceling old-fashioned lifestyles including thai music but after that this law was withdrawed.

do everything the same as other european countries. They didn't allow everypeople

to many activities, although those are Thai culture and Thai tradition such as playing Thai music.

hmm...difficult to understand how you guys felt for the movie. I do not quite understand and did not even realised the plot of the movie, perharp only after watching the 10th clip.
