@heyitsmejason1 its not a stupid question, he asked him a good question and he didn't answer because he had something to hid so they just taser him, dosen't mean its a stupid question
@nyphix4321 LOL No, it's not a stupid question, but Kerry DID answer and they didn't tase him for any questions. The tasing was over 2 minutes after the mic was cut. He was kicked out for behavior and refused to leave.
they were good questions, he just was more interested in making a big scene & getting his dumb ass kicked out than actually getting an answer.
kerry gave a detailed answer after Meyer was removed. It's in the transcript. He's a politician. OF COURSE he wants to spew his BS.
this is just insane. the future of the people of the U S in a police state. to the fool who think this is funny. just remember, if it happen to him, it can happen to you.
Andrew Meyer was a fucking punk, fake bastard that deserved all that he got, plus some!! I would have smashed his ugly face into the floor, and tried to break his collar-bone, when no one was looking.
America is a very sick country at the moment, very sick indeed. There was absolutely no reason to arrest this man, except... He was asking the wrong questions? He was very calmly... Asking important questions... Then they started pressuring him to stop talking because he said something thats going to make someone think to much... Then he kept going... Why the fuck wouldn't he? So they cut off his mic... Then he let everyone know, they cut off his mic, so then... They had to show him who is boss.
also, he sounds like a little kid afterwords, one point of a taser is after the voltage has ceased, it doesn't hurt anymore(might be a lil shaky, but thats it). But he lays there screaming like a little girl until the video ends ROFL
Bottom line here is, people should always ENTHUSIASTICALLY support and obey the Police....that way they won't be Tased.....or rather, they won't CHOOSE to be Tased!
I don't know what the big deal is here. Tasers are perfectly safe - everybody knows that! The only reason people have died from being Tased is they just weren't very healthy.....and whose fault is that? I say it was their own damn fault! People should all be healthy so if they're Tased, they won't die from it! There, I said it!
LISTEN UP AMERICA: Police Officers should always be IMMEDIATELY obeyed, no matter what. People who don't ENTHUSIASTICALLY obey an Officers' instructions should be Tased, pepper sprayed, forcibly arrested and sentenced to lengthy prison terms. So everybody just needs to SHUT UP and support the POLICE!!!!!!!!!!!
@redlrumrob My father helped (worked with the bush family) to privitize a lot of the american prisons....private prisons keep people in the cheapest and most cramped ways possible. I began my search for truth after I relized how over 1 million americans are traded on an open market from federal prisons and state prisons to the new "walmart prisons" . Privitly owned and operated business!! And then I moved to Canada to be free to smoke cannabis and just be free US(the new Babylon system).
1.) the girls screaming in the back "Please Stop!!!!!".... Priceless
2.) The fact he was just asking a question and was polite saying "thank you for your time John Kerry" and gets tased.... shows exactly where this country is going.... Freedom of Speech obviously is not an issue.
If you are really 22 then it is time for you to grow up. He was thrown out for his behavior. If you think the US sucks, then I recommend you take a trip to a few other countries. I like France, Germany, basically all of Europe. Australia & NZ are very nice.
Of them, the only ones I would even consider living in long term are Australia & France.
Your on crack would never move to anythin involved with UN USA Canada Im going to the islands so they can TRY to make me take the mark of the beast no time soon americans are first have fun being enslaved.....TYPE IN New World Order Conspiracy..AND SEARCH IF YOU WANT TO REALLY SURVIVE
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Yeah so important that they were answered years before...
And didn't do anything wrong? You are delusional. He violated forum rules of conduct and was told to leave. He refused to leave. That is trespassing. Illegal and wrong. Then the resisted police and learned the hard way that they CAN use force to remove you.
"so important that they were answered years before"
IlSeFousDeTaGuele/humanshot/youstalkyoulose/ccr5cxcr4/nousides/rasnixful/etc is a bitter TROLL who CLAIMS to be a medical doctor
he loves to prove that he is full of shit & dumber than a sack of hammers
the question being asked was never answered. if trollboy had a brain he could figure out that Andrew is asking if the favoritism Kerry showed Bush was due to them both being in the same old boy's club
.IlSeFousDeTaGuele - Humanshot - Humanshot1 - Humanshot2 - Humanshot3 - eynshamrood - Nousides TravianCollege -Rasnixful etc is all the same guy. I have the list of his known troll accounts on my channel.
If he continues to go on his censorship spamming campaigns on the videos where I go then I will keep coming back and posting the list of his known troll accounts where he ("they" ha ha ) always turn up. Now that I know I can google his accounts he better start behaving like a normal human.
So it was absolutely no violation of Meyer's rights to throw him out, because he had no right to be there once ejected.
And if the aclu REALLY believed his rights were violated, they are free to file a civil rights case. Why haven't they? Because they can read & they have seen the video, and know they have no case whatsoever.
There are several more cases relevant to THIS incident, but most of those are people challenging the right of forum organizers to throw out vulgar and disruptive people.
The supreme court has refused to date to hear any further cases on the toipic, essentially saying "look stupid, we already answered that question."
If you want to read the relevant supreme court cases, the big ones are Bethel & Tinker where it is spelled out that organizers can throw out vulgar or disruptive people, and it is NO violation of their freedom of speech to do so.
The claim that this is some sign that we are losing our freedoms is an utterly stupid claim from an utterly stupid person.
You have NEVER had the right to attend a forum or event & ignore their rules & expect to stay. You can lie about it, you can be intentionally stupid, but you are transparent.
You may attend the forum of your choice, act like Meyer, and enjoy your arrest should they choose to enforce the rules & the law. You may similarly fail in court & get convicted. Enjoy.
His vulgarity was the last straw, and they signalled for his mic to be cut & told him to leave.
He chose instead to refuse to leave and act like the blushing virgin (I haven't done anything wrong...). Great for amateur night at the roxy, perhaps well enough for a 3rd grade play... but transparent bullshit.
He wanted to create a scene & get some publicity. He didn't count on the police actually enforcing the law. He miscalculated.
For those of you claiming his rights were violated, you are wrong.
The SCOTUS has ruled repeatedly that forums may eject any person being disruptive or vulgar (vulgarity defined by the forum organizers), and that in the interest of effective communication, forums may establish rules so long as they are equally applied to all attendees (nondiscriminatory).
Meyer had violated a stack of rules BEFORE the video started (which is why the police were standing behind him).
Meyer violated the forum rules & was ejected. He was lawfully arrested for refusing to leave after being ejected. Not to mention the fact that he was disruptive, fought the police, and tried to get the crowd to help him against the police. All of which were unlawful.
All these people talking about freedom of speech. You might want to try a little education on for size.
SCOTUS has ruled that vulgar speech & disruptive behavior are NOT protected speech in a forum. The same way saying "I am going to plant a bomb on this plane" is not protected speech in an airport.
It is NO violation of FOS to throw Meyer out for his decision to break the forum rules. It is their right.
"brutally tasered" Oh bullshit. He was drive stunned, not tasered for one.
For another, there was nothing brutal about it. He made the choice to resist arrest, and ignore their repeated warnings to stop resisting or be tasered.
All he had to do was act like an adult. I am surprised UF let him come back. I would have expelled his ass (I know MY college would have).
So here is your clue: YES, forums CAN throw you out. NO, it is not a violation of your rights.
UF student code applies: He ignored the student code, which gives the university the right to remove him. 1 question: He asked 6 without pausing for answers. All questions moderated: He ignored the moderators. 30 seconds to pose the question: over two minutes. And so on.
People can sneer at the rules & say "those rules are stupid." Whatever, they are the rules. Don't follow them, and you can ask Mr. Meyer about the consequences.
The fact is the forum organizers had the right to throw anyone out for breaking their rules. The same way a theatre owner can toss you out for being disruptive during a play. Or I can toss you out of my house.
You really have to be a retard not to get it.
The police did their jobs, enforcing the law. And the greatest evidence it was all done correctly? Meyer was convicted, and no civil rights case ever filed.
They upheld the law and the constitution. Good job all the way around.
People tend to ignore that every other person there has rights too. And ACCENT as the organizers & representatives of the university have rights specifically addressed by the supreme court. They can throw anyone out breaking their rules.
Meyer chose to ignore their rules, despite repeated warnings. So they threw him out. Perfectly legal & constitutional. The police just made him leave
SCOTUS has ruled that forum organizers can remove vulgar or disruptive people. So this was an assertion of the organizer's, university's and other attendee's rights, not a violation of meyers.
That is why meyer was convicted, the police found to have acted correctly, and the ACLU & meyer's lawyers ran for the hills when it came time to file a civil rights case.
"im going to have a forum & make the rule that anyone caught sneezing will be sliced in half immediately" Typical reggieworth bullshit. No wonder you failed out of winthrop reggie.
"heavy handed cop action" Wasn't any. In fact the police were found to have acted correctly in every respect by two investigations. Taser policy for UF and FDLE remains the same.
And meyer was convicted after the ACLU ran away with their tails between their legs.
Meyer had confrontations with the organizers & police before the video began (google the witness accounts & police reports)
He had been warned that any more violations and he would be removed from the forum (which is why the cops were standing behind him). He chose to continue violating the forum rules. The last straw was using vulgarity
Cut his mic > started to escort him out > he resisted > arrest > resisted arrest > tased > custody > convicted
Wow, its a funny concept, but really, I dont get why he was arrested and tased. They had like 6 police officers on him! That's a little unfair, dont you think?
After watching the FULL video, I get the impression that he was violating the rules of the forum. They tried to remove him from the premises. They were probably just going to throw him out and tell him to go home. THEN he actually.. started to resist arrest. That little bit they left out actually showed him trying to shake off the cops. The tasering was illegal but not the arresting him part. Get your "IM PISSED OFF" part right. All this is is excessive force.
Meyer DID violate ALL of the forum rules JackWhistle. Not only was the tasing completely justifiable then even today with the new, most stringent, guidlines regarding taser use THEY still would have been justified considering his actions that day. The tasing was legal & there was to "excessive force".
"The tasering was illegal but not the arresting him part."
No. UIt was not "illegal". that would mean they violated a law. They did not. They held him and told him multiple times to put his hands behind his back or be tased, then drive stunned him for 3 seconds while cuffing his free arm. there is nothing illegal about that.
They taser wasn't to immobilize him. It was to stun him so they could safely pull his free arm (the one that was grabbing onto a chair) behind his back without injuring him. They told him many times what they would do if he didn't allow his arm to go behind his back. He was down for a whole minute before they used the taser on him.
its funny how these guys justify the heavy handed cop action by bleating "violate ALL of the forum rules"
im going to have a forum & make the rule that anyone caught sneezing will be sliced in half immediately. i suppose these guys will think its ok cus its a forum rule & i was just enforcing it
its clear that most people in your country oppose the use of taser for compliance. the manufacturer has convinced cops its harmless so they seem to use it a lot & with little provocation
LOL im sorry but this shit is hilarious ........ DONT TAZER ME BRO NO NO NO AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH UGH UGH UGH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH WHAT DID I DO LOL
I know someone JUST like this guy. Anytime there is a crime he has "the inside track" of things "the cops dont wanna reveal". He thinks he sees drug deals everywhere, he thinks his phone is tapped, he thinks some of his neighbors work for "them". It was actually funny at first, now I cannot stand to be around him. He is also the kind of person who thinks that "they are going to kill him" if "they" catch him.
well that is very american and i don't know why everyone is so shocked stupid shit like that happens all the time the united states. boy i'm glad i'm canadian where people are not so violent and stupid!
the police are only allowed to taser someone who is a threat for eg. a man standing in front of a group of police men behaving in a violent manner where the police would need to use the taser to bring him down to apprehend him... however in this case... the guy was already down and subdued as the police were already holding onto his hands and legs... so there is no need to taser him. just handcuff him and drag him out of the building if they have to. but to Taser him was really not necessary.
the democrats take advantage of the young gullible kids and get them all rilled up over election year conspiracies and promise them Impeachment of Bush etc.. Then some kid who doesnt get the fact it was just an election year game and takes dems at there word, speaks up and gets tazed . So Sad the demonrats the party that preys on the stupid.
I don't even understand why the police surrounded him in the first place? ( I dont know if i put the question right , my english is not good. I'm french)
he didnt do anything since when is it bad to voice your opinion our freedom is gone as we know it any you people talk about how its ok for 9 police officers to taze some one like that there is something wrong with this country fix your minds they need fixing
I think what the guy was doing was not wrong, he just did it the wrong way, there are better ways to argue and prove your point, he should not have acted like a prick.
Shame on the police, shame on Florida University, shame on the USA.
This is an example of why people around the world snort with contempt when America talks about defending freedom and bringing democracy to other countries.
With freedom and democracy like this, who needs oppression?
WELCOME TO THE POLICE STATE 21st CENTURY STYLE!!!!WE HAVE NO RITES,NWO,ILLUMINATI,SECRET SOCITIES,PATRIOT ACT ITS ALL WUT BUSH WANTS SINCE DADDY TALK ABOUT IT SEPT 11 1991...!I COULD GO ON,ITS NO JOKE...LOOK IT UP!AN WAKE UP!!LETS TAKE IT BACK...RON PAUL 08*
The University of Florida's failure to roundly condemn a violent assault upon the rights and person of this student undermines their status as a University. It is contrary to the noble traditions of such institutions which were founded upon humanism, Enlightenment, Reformation and revolution. A University which does not put human rights, free speech and vigorous debate at the top of its agenda is unworthy of the name.
they shouldnt have tasered him. a good old beat down with their billy clubs would have been much more entertaining. this cocksucker was clearly resisting, even makin an attempt at running from the cops. and being tasered isnt like an electric chair moron, they hook that shit up so the chair will kill u, while people can be tased for a longer time than it would take to execute someone. STOP CRYING FOR THIS FAG
Don't get me wrong, this guys no martyr- honestly, I'd be bitching just as much if it was someone else. It could've been anyone, talking about anything. even you dude. It's just the fact the kid was tased just for saying something. I'm pretty sure KKK members say shit alot of people don't like at their rallys, yet random police officers don't go and taser them- because it's their constitutional right to say anything, regardless of what people think.
he wasnt tased for saying something! he was tased for continually trying to get away from the cops. they werent going to arrest him, he just started screaming "HEY WHY ARE U ARRESTING ME DO YOU ALL SEE THIS" the minute they touched him. nobody cared about what he said except he school, cause they cut his mic, not the police. the police did what they were supposed to do, even tho they were actually not supposed to let him rush to the front of a long ass line of people with questions.
Today Kerry claims, that he did not know that Andrew was tased, while in the movie his voice is clearly heard during the tasing incident, when Andrew begs not to be tased, but gets electrocuted with 50.000 volts anyway. Did anyone experience 300 volt electrical shot? That hurts. Now imagine 50.000. It is, probably, closer to electrical chair.
Police State Sheepe... "Fear, Intimidation, & Control" at work in the presence of the so-called U.S. Democratic Presidential Candidate ??? - doing nothing to STOP this abuse ???
most retarded crap ive ever heard. the school cut his mic, not the cops. they just put a man on the ground for pushing an officer away and trying to run when they were just going to escort him out. i guess ud have more fun in North Korea tho, maybe so u can see what an actual police state is, and not just someone who thinks his right to free speech also means has a right to do anything else he wants as long as hes saying something controversial
Since when is it illegal to ask about the Skull and Bones??? I think the police went over the line when they Tased this guy. I guess it really is getting to be like "1984" in America.
Welcome to the Police State, where we all have the equal right to be treated as criminals and tortured if we ask awkward questions, imprisoned if we speak out against institutionalised injustice and killed if we expose government corruption. Learn up your Orwell and get used to it.
Hells teeth. Try and take an interest in politics (proving wrong all those people who claim all of us young people are apathetic) and if you sound a bit too enthusiastic in the point you're making, what do you get? Christ. This is disgusting.
In a longer version of this, you hear the book he's recommending is "Armed Madhouse" by Greg Palast. I second that, because it's a good book!
This is fucking sick, yes the guy is a marxist idiot but he didn't do anything to get arrested or tased, welcome to the big brother state of the soon coming antichrist. Repent people before it is too late.
So a member of your government gets a hard question and then stands by with the rest of the morons in the audience as the police unlawfully arrest someone who simply wanted to get to the truth.....and you sit there wondering how 911 happened? God...get your heads out of your asses and see what the rest of the world is seeing.
People stand on the sidelines because they're afraid. They try to justify it by saying "He deserved it" and then later down the road they -might- regret it if they even remember. Then there's also the theory of everyone waiting for that one person to do something first.. then they -might- join in to help.
Someone can get murdered in their apartment as plain as day and no one will do anything because they tell themselves "someone else will call the police."
Funny how the Americans always preach freedom of speech but once the cops gets all pumped up, you're fucked. Why didn't anyone defend that man...it would have been defending your Constitution as well. By the way..in Canada if a citizen feels an officer is using excess force he can intervene and physically stop him.We cherish freedom...we're funny that way...REMEMBER KENT STATE!!!!!
The kid is an idiot, not doubt about that. But since when is it anyone's decision to arrest someone for practicing one of the foundational rights of an American citizen? The police are for our protection, not for censorship.
While that probably was excessive force (he seemed to be resisting but they should have had the common sense to use just cuff him; then again Campus Cops are often the rejects) it is funny as hell since the guy was acting like a douche.
Kay, not getting worked up about this at all. I don't even give a shit the guy got tasored.. But I see all these people saying how immature and unneeded it was. And how he was being unruly and what not. But srsly.. would any of you have the balls to do what he did? Maybe not. He has my complete respect for doing what he did. And standing up for something.. unlike the rest of 21 year olds of America.
i would fuckin beat them pigs with a golf club knock out all there teeth fuckin corrupted ass cops. like 2 nights ago i got a ticket in my car cuz supposibly Racing Mufflers r illegal in New York wich is complete bullshit it has to be loud to give a ticket all it has is a deep rumble cuz i have turbo in my car.. and the rotary revs high cops r stupid
He wasn't breaking any laws, plain and simple. When is it okay to tase someone because they spoke too long or wanted to make a point? This is insanity! The cops were SO WRONG! What is happening to this country?
WTF! yeah he resisted arrest, but WTF!? why arrest him in the first place! he was just calling Kerry on something, and Kerry didnt like it so, BAM! He had the cops come and take him away from the mic. it was an open mic too, so I dont know why the cops did what they did, guess we are going to have to wait for the full vid
Don't even TRY to make this about free speech. He wasn't trying to voice his opinion, he was trying to steal the scene and put on a show and post it on his web site. I think he wanted the cops to intervene and would have carried on until he did. BTW, this was NOT a public forum and the right to free speech would not have applied anyway. His 15 minutes are up and next year he will simply be another jerk with a video camera and web site that everyone ignores.
douche u sound like ur jealous, fuck head the coppers had no right to lay there hoofs on him no crime was commited everyone has a right to say anything he,s a hereo and those u will never see them again theyll move to another state and get a security job those cocksuckers
this isnt an attack, but Free Speech applies everywhere, thats the only reason why the KKK and Black Panthers get to do what they do, hold rallies and voice their opinions. My father is a cop, I admit this was WAY out of line, there was no need for him to be carried away like that
No, it doesn't. That is one of the great fallacies associated with the first amendment. It was not a public forum, it was a sponsored event and the sponsor has the right to allow or disallow whatever they want. Even if it was, his right to free speech ends when he presents it in such a way as to be a potential threat to the safety of others. Not saying the cops handled it perfectly, far from it. But it was very predictable coming post Virginia Tech.
Actually, the first amendment doesn't say that. Secondly, read the second part of my response. Even IF he had the right to free speech in that forum, it ended when he posed a potential threat to the safety or peace of the gathering.
What threat? When did asking a question somebody didn't like become a threat to national security? If they would've let the kid finish what he was saying (WHICH HE HAS THE RIGHT TO DO IN THIS COUNTRY), he would've left without incident.
he really didnt do anything, such bull shit

If you are really 22 then it is time for you to grow up. He was thrown out for his behavior. If you think the US sucks, then I recommend you take a trip to a few other countries. I like France, Germany, basically all of Europe. Australia & NZ are very nice.
Of them, the only ones I would even consider living in long term are Australia & France.
But none of them are the US.

maybe because you are a known TROLL eh conotoxin/traviancollege/ccr5cxcr4/llSeFous/HumanShot[1,2&3]/etc
you are a despicable human being who takes pleasure in stirring up hatred & inciting inane arguments with random viewers
you have no evidence steve had the right to eject him for breaking a forum rule
you ignore the fact that those court cases [like betherl & tinker]require it to be proven the speech was substantially disruptive
look how you are here on a barely used video baiting argument
Reggieworth 2 years ago
So it was absolutely no violation of Meyer's rights to throw him out, because he had no right to be there once ejected.
And if the aclu REALLY believed his rights were violated, they are free to file a civil rights case. Why haven't they? Because they can read & they have seen the video, and know they have no case whatsoever.
Meyer was 100% in the wrong.
Nousides 2 years ago
There are several more cases relevant to THIS incident, but most of those are people challenging the right of forum organizers to throw out vulgar and disruptive people.
The supreme court has refused to date to hear any further cases on the toipic, essentially saying "look stupid, we already answered that question."
Nousides 2 years ago
If you want to read the relevant supreme court cases, the big ones are Bethel & Tinker where it is spelled out that organizers can throw out vulgar or disruptive people, and it is NO violation of their freedom of speech to do so.
Nousides 2 years ago
The claim that this is some sign that we are losing our freedoms is an utterly stupid claim from an utterly stupid person.
You have NEVER had the right to attend a forum or event & ignore their rules & expect to stay. You can lie about it, you can be intentionally stupid, but you are transparent.
You may attend the forum of your choice, act like Meyer, and enjoy your arrest should they choose to enforce the rules & the law. You may similarly fail in court & get convicted. Enjoy.
Nousides 2 years ago
His vulgarity was the last straw, and they signalled for his mic to be cut & told him to leave.
He chose instead to refuse to leave and act like the blushing virgin (I haven't done anything wrong...). Great for amateur night at the roxy, perhaps well enough for a 3rd grade play... but transparent bullshit.
He wanted to create a scene & get some publicity. He didn't count on the police actually enforcing the law. He miscalculated.
Nousides 2 years ago
For those of you claiming his rights were violated, you are wrong.
The SCOTUS has ruled repeatedly that forums may eject any person being disruptive or vulgar (vulgarity defined by the forum organizers), and that in the interest of effective communication, forums may establish rules so long as they are equally applied to all attendees (nondiscriminatory).
Meyer had violated a stack of rules BEFORE the video started (which is why the police were standing behind him).
Nousides 2 years ago

HumanShot 2 years ago

"brutally tasered" Oh bullshit. He was drive stunned, not tasered for one.
For another, there was nothing brutal about it. He made the choice to resist arrest, and ignore their repeated warnings to stop resisting or be tasered.
All he had to do was act like an adult. I am surprised UF let him come back. I would have expelled his ass (I know MY college would have).
So here is your clue: YES, forums CAN throw you out. NO, it is not a violation of your rights.
Nuff said.
HumanShot 2 years ago

What rules did Meyer break?
UF student code applies: He ignored the student code, which gives the university the right to remove him. 1 question: He asked 6 without pausing for answers. All questions moderated: He ignored the moderators. 30 seconds to pose the question: over two minutes. And so on.
People can sneer at the rules & say "those rules are stupid." Whatever, they are the rules. Don't follow them, and you can ask Mr. Meyer about the consequences.
HumanShot 2 years ago

The fact is the forum organizers had the right to throw anyone out for breaking their rules. The same way a theatre owner can toss you out for being disruptive during a play. Or I can toss you out of my house.
You really have to be a retard not to get it.
The police did their jobs, enforcing the law. And the greatest evidence it was all done correctly? Meyer was convicted, and no civil rights case ever filed.
HumanShot 2 years ago
This has been flagged as spam show
What excuses for the cops?

They know they have none.

JackWhistle 3 years ago 3
This has been flagged as spam show
Meyer DID violate ALL of the forum rules JackWhistle. Not only was the tasing completely justifiable then even today with the new, most stringent, guidlines regarding taser use THEY still would have been justified considering his actions that day. The tasing was legal & there was to "excessive force".
redrumrob 3 years ago
"The tasering was illegal but not the arresting him part."
No. UIt was not "illegal". that would mean they violated a law. They did not. They held him and told him multiple times to put his hands behind his back or be tased, then drive stunned him for 3 seconds while cuffing his free arm. there is nothing illegal about that.
virtualdynamo 3 years ago
Ugh.. it should be. It didn't look like he was punching or hitting them. I still consider this excessive force since they had him immobile.
JackWhistle 3 years ago
They taser wasn't to immobilize him. It was to stun him so they could safely pull his free arm (the one that was grabbing onto a chair) behind his back without injuring him. They told him many times what they would do if he didn't allow his arm to go behind his back. He was down for a whole minute before they used the taser on him.

im going to have a forum & make the rule that anyone caught sneezing will be sliced in half immediately. i suppose these guys will think its ok cus its a forum rule & i was just enforcing it
its clear that most people in your country oppose the use of taser for compliance. the manufacturer has convinced cops its harmless so they seem to use it a lot & with little provocation

the police are only allowed to taser someone who is a threat for eg. a man standing in front of a group of police men behaving in a violent manner where the police would need to use the taser to bring him down to apprehend him... however in this case... the guy was already down and subdued as the police were already holding onto his hands and legs... so there is no need to taser him. just handcuff him and drag him out of the building if they have to. but to Taser him was really not necessary.

300 volts electrical shot is very painful. The Taser has 50.000 volts, while an electrical chair has 1800 volts. Feel the pain?

Today Kerry claims, that he did not know that Andrew was tased, while in the movie his voice is clearly heard during the tasing incident, when Andrew begs not to be tased, but gets electrocuted with 50.000 volts anyway. Did anyone experience 300 volt electrical shot? That hurts. Now imagine 50.000. It is, probably, closer to electrical chair.

People stand on the sidelines because they're afraid. They try to justify it by saying "He deserved it" and then later down the road they -might- regret it if they even remember. Then there's also the theory of everyone waiting for that one person to do something first.. then they -might- join in to help.
Someone can get murdered in their apartment as plain as day and no one will do anything because they tell themselves "someone else will call the police."

colmae 4 years ago 2
No, it doesn't. That is one of the great fallacies associated with the first amendment. It was not a public forum, it was a sponsored event and the sponsor has the right to allow or disallow whatever they want. Even if it was, his right to free speech ends when he presents it in such a way as to be a potential threat to the safety of others. Not saying the cops handled it perfectly, far from it. But it was very predictable coming post Virginia Tech.
scooterSim 4 years ago
but the first amendment allows any form of speech to an active employee of the federal governemnt. is he not a member of the government?
dfreaq 4 years ago
Actually, the first amendment doesn't say that. Secondly, read the second part of my response. Even IF he had the right to free speech in that forum, it ended when he posed a potential threat to the safety or peace of the gathering.
