I always cry at this scene. You could tell Snape didn't want to do it. Whenever he said Avada Kedavra, his voice kind of broke, and he looked devastated after he killed him. Luckily, though, most of us know the truth about him now. :) RIP Snape: the bravest man I've ever known. <3

I actually saw this movie before I read the book (Shame on me!). When this scene arrived i was just thinking: "Dumbledore is gonna get out of it, if not, the world will go to hell!". Then Snape entered. I just sat there waiting to see Dumbledore escape and Snape getting pissed. When Snape said "Avada Kadavra" and Dumbledore plummed down the tower, something inside me just died. And all of the Hogwarts students and teachers raising their wands and banish the dark mark is just...incredible!

He's not gay, obviously but in the 4th one, him & Cedric became very close because they helped eachother out in the TriWizard Tournament. Harry & Dumbledore have always been close & I guess Harry felt like Dumbledore was the closest thing he had to family after Sirius died.

He wants Severus to kill him as a friend and fulfill the duty Severus promised to him so it's almost he's saying, 'please old friend, fulfill my last wish, no matter how painful it is'. Because we know how painful it was for Severus to be thought of a traitor and such a bad guy when he wasn't, even up till the point he dies from Nagini.
