  • Do the GT's have the lift problem that cheaper models have with lift? I know they have a different nose.

  • @21brian12 The GT's, SE's, and Formula's have a "Aero-Kit" air-dam, side panels and spoiler for stability at high speed. I held back the 88GT in the vid since it was a first run after AT repair. It is a lot faster than it looks.

Also own a 86 SE that has this same "Aero-Kit" on YouTube - "86 Fiero SE Test Drive to 101 mph" It is a "Notchback". I did not hold back after clutch repair in this vid until it hit 100. The 88 handles better than the 86. The 86 4 speed is a bit faster.

  • This bad boy could do a lot better !

  • @Bergylicious1 This is a show car. Didn't do a full throttle run just after AT shift kit work. Went to 100 slowly. Check out the tach. Never hit the red line. Just a test run to see how fast it would shift and used video to see what happened if it it blew up. LOL.

My 86 4 spd seems quicker but not a lot. My 88 AT now shifts faster at red line than humanly possible with a 4 spd and hydro clutch. It never misses a shift! 140 hp isn't much but stock Fiero's can be lots of fun.

  • 0:30 JET ENGINE ENGAGE

Or at least that's what it sounded like with the wind noise, lol

  • Oh and alsome car it will get up and go for a v6

  • A crx will never do 0 to 200 in 5 sec.. I hate ricer people my fully built and bored to a 1000cc stretched zx9 will do that about 7 sec.

  • That was cool. You Know your gonna get crapp from the Rice Burner crowd. They Will tell you that the Crx can do 0 to 200 in five seconds.

  • There is no question the Fiero GT's automatic kills the power. I own two 5 speed 88 GT's, Nothing can kill the car's sharp looks though! :)

  • Sorry if I offended you. You must be a "drag" racer.

This video was an AT test for a car that was going to run at Watkins Glenn, not drag race. I needed to know if the car would shift properly to be hammered on a road course and still do at least 100 mph. Did I not say "Slow Run up to 100 mph" Find this video on You Tube.... 'Fiero's at the Glenn 2011..." It is the same car you are bashing but might enjoy this video more. Fiero's are not fast cars, but very quick handling cars.

  • Stopped at 19sec...100 is going to take forevver...

  • Coming Soon, 88 Fiero GT Test Drive to 120+ MPH. in Stock Form. Speed will be logged by GPS for accuracy so there will be no doubt what the actual top speed of this car will be on a closed 2 mile road. Hoping for 125 MPH + but will find out as soon as my favorite test road becomes available around mid April, 2011

  • you would have better luck with a getrag 282 5-speed... its alittle faster than that for acceleration.. i know i own one.. but atleast your posting a video of yours no one else has one..

  • @gmctyphoon1992 fieros rule! i got one
