As a fan of the original office I actually find it almost touching to see Brent find a kindred spirit. I could definitely watch more of the two of them. I know they never will but a special that's a crossover with these two meeting again at a conference that lasts a weekend would be brilliant.

david brent is a better character, in terms of development & depth. but what can you expect when ricky gervais not only wrote the original office but also acted as the main character. Steve Carell Merely acts out the part as best he can.
