This game was so good it got a sequal- ZELDA II: The Adventure of Link!

It has the same gameplay style, the same lack of 'The Legend of' in the title, the same style of Link; seriously, ZELDA II is a sequal to ZELDA G&W!

it wasn't bad... unless you compare it to what we have now. You have to consider what gaming systems existed at the time. This was a very big deal for it's time and everyone my age loved it without complaints back then.

haha i've got this one...it's the most epic game and watch of them all! You collect the triforce pieces like the original zelda, a toma hawk to kill the giant dragon at the top screen faster, water of life to replenish your health, you kill bad guys in g&w style, and it even features a map to know where you are! Very cool G&W!

This was one of my Christmas presents in 1989. This game has replay value after all these years. Not to mention, the ability to trigger memories from a simpler time in video games. If you 're able to locate one, buy it! A firm, but rare player in video game history.

You can turn it off, and it ranges from usually 100+ each game and watch on ebay.

oh, i thought it was a special weapon "upgrade" which let you fight ganon or enter some kind of new stage or a new palette of enemies
