  • I'm sweating my butt off, this workout is amazing! I made 4 rounds and 13 basket drills :D

    Keep them coming Amanda! :)

  • first time and i was able to do 4 cycles with 1 min to spare!! ecxept i couldnt do the handstands any alternitives???

  • So i attempted to do the handstand kicks and i legit fell on my head.

  • yeah, can't do handstands...what can i do instead??

  • I can't really do the handstands, is there any alternative?

  • what is a good substitution for the handstand kicks?

  • Woow dead after doing this! Feeling great though :)

  • 3 cycles in 13 minutes!! Awesome workout!!

  • Oh and by the way I found your workouts to be way more exausting than me running on the treadmill or eliptical for 45 minutes! :)

  • 2 cycles 10 minutes...

haha, I thought I was gonna puke at the end of the second cycle. I'll keep doing this every morning until I can going 15 minutes without stopping. I'll let you know when I get there. HAHA!

  • I´m looking forward to the handstand kicks ... I can NEVER do a handstand lol but I will try my best! I love the intense workouts so much because I have little time!

  • 3 cycles in 9 minutes :D

i haven't broken this much of a sweat in a long time.

  • @Fleuridescent holy cow! bring it on!! amazing!!

  • ha ha, i am so fat, so me attempting the handstand kicks was pathetic, my cat gave me such a pitiful look. thanks for the ideas :)

  • i'm excited, i want to try and keep it up and see if i really get into the shape i like. i also tried the muffin top workout and the thighs and bum exercise. :D

  • So can this be a cardio workout?

  • @CourtstaBabai ABSOLUTELY!!! one of the best types!

  • First workout I did in over a year. Only made it 10 mins and only 2 cycles. :-(. I'm really motivated by your videos though! I can't wait to see improvement. How often should I do this exercise?

  • @flee2321 Amazing!! 2 rounds is great for your first time! The key is to keep coming back to it - aim to do this workout once or twice a week, but also mix in some of the other workout videos on other days. THey are all short but intense and WILL definitely kick you into shape fast! AMAZING work, keep it up!

  • @AmandaRussell You responding is even more inspiring! It makes you an actual real person somehow... I watched all the videos and picked the one I'm going to do tomorrow! I'm actually excited to get up and workout!! THANK YOU!!!! Also, could you do a video on good form for things (modified push-up, squats, lunges, ect) I feel like I might not be doing them right. Thank you again for doing this channel!

  • Thank You Thank You Thank You! This is a life saver :) x

  • how can i have shape like dis can u tell me?

  • @rockbottom104 Keep doing my workout videos ;) You just have to be consistent and do the workouts with intensity.

  • @AmandaRussell ahaan well u know i need kind of courage as well becoz i dont have any friend who can guide me through properly

    u can add me

    adilpk26@yahoo.com thank u .

  • which excer. can u substituted handstand kick for

  • @shunna1213 push ups!

  • I love it! Thanks :)

  • I love it! Thanks :)

  • nice thank u amanda

  • How many calories will this fifteen min workout supposedly burn? Just curious! Keep doing what you do best Amanda! You're beautiful!

  • @Sundaree80 The # of calories burned depends on a person's unique characteristics, such as metabolism, exercise history, the shape they are in, their current weight, height, how hard they do the workout is a HUGE factor. No workout can claim to burn a certain number of calories, it's all individual. BUT I assure you, doing 15 minutes of this will burn more than doing almost any other type of workout for the same amount of time!

I hope that helps you :)

  • How many calories does this routine workout burn in fifteen mins?

  • wow this is awesome!! :) i am a busy mom, and have a special needs child so i never have time to work out, or pretty much do anything. thank you for this!

  • @DenessaRose Wow, your comment really touched me and made my day. I'm so thrilled to hear this. Don't worry, I will have many more workouts each week coming -all for the busy person who still wants an incredible workout.

    :) Thanks for your support!

  • Damm it I wrote it down and did the routine. I totally could have gotten more than 5 reps in. I just re watched and I was taking about 5 steps each side for the basketball drill. You were doing two. Damm it I should have paid more attention lol

  • @elesha76 lol, no worries, you still got a great workout then. Let me know when you try it with 2 steps!

  • Ok I just did this and I made it though 5 and a bit times in 15 minutes. Im sweating and puffing but I loved this. This is PERFECT for doing when I cant make my boot camp class. Amanda what should I be aiming for as in how many reps should be a good goal to work towards. Not your level of fitness lol but just average fitness.

  • i'd like to give her an intense 15 min burn ..OHHHHHHHHHHHH.... DON'T BLOCK ME DON'T BLOCK ME... i meant that in the nicest way [:)

  • @NinkComPoop I'll see if I can make a 15 minute one, it's just a matter of filming it all out first, but thank you for the suggestion :).

  • I would love for her to actually do this WITH us in a video. It would motivate us more :)

  • @NinkComPoop I would love to AND that IS coming, once my new website launches I will start to film the full length workout! However, I have found that when youtube videos look too long people won't click on them, lol. I hope you'll stay tuned for my website!

  • @AmourParisien This workout is more designed for quick workout. It won't over work the muscles too much, but in any work out you shouldn't workout the muscles more than 30-45 min without incorporating at least 30-45 min of cardio to balance out your body so all parts of the body become engaged and that the blood reaches everywhere. If you want a longer work out, I'll look into designing a new one that can be done for an hour. Thank you so much for the comment. Happy Thanksgiving.

    -Amanda

  • Is it ok to do these for an hour each day or will it overwork the muscles?

  • @AmourParisien If you are doing them correctly an hour is too much, you should not feasibly be able to do it to max potential. The workout is explosive and compared to sprinting, so it would be liek sprinting for an hour, does that make sense?

  • amazing bod! how did you get your legs so proportioned? my calfs are huge

  • @xoxoangelxoxo424 Aw Thank you! I actually do all of the workouts I post! so keep up with them and watch your body transform :)

  • Hi Amanda, I just randomly found you today. I am way too overweight 2x's my healthy weight (5'4" & 260lbs) I was athletic and small until I had kids and now almost 20 years later I've created double myself. I want to workout and I'm pretty sure I can do those exercises, I just don't know how to get the motivation to get up and do them. Everything makes me so tired. Just walking up the stairs to my apt is exhausting. Any suggestions?

  • @MsLauralei37 Hello! First of all, congrats on taking the first step and searching around online for workouts! I recommend writing down your goal and taking small steps to make improvements. Maybe you start with walking a little each day and skipping the processed foods.

Everyone starts somewhere, I am confident you can do this. Keep your goal in the front of your mind and keep tuning in to sites and channels like this, as it not only helps with tips and ideas but it gets you motivated.

  • Visit my facebook page (Amanda Russell Workouts) and share your concerns and questions, many people have the same thoughts (we ALL need help with motivation sometimes), getting and staying fit isn't easy, but it's worth it! We all are here to support you, I believe in you sister!

  • Around how many calories would you burn doing this for 15 minutes?

  • i think 3 out 5 of these are in insanity

  • Nice job Amanda, but is it possible to slow down just a bit, explain the workout a little more, and spend more time doing it yourself. A slow motion walk through would be cool. Also, pretend your viewers are in front of you, then slow down and talk to them, make a deep connection with them...the psychological/emotional part of exercise is as important as the action. You're giving viewers a awesome bite, but what they really want is the whole meal...do longer videos & ur view count will skyrocket

  • @thinkjay um i disagree, i just randomly found this and i like it. easy to understand easy to follow.

  • Thanks for the workout, I love examples like this that really show you can stay in shape without all of those gym fees and it really works.

    Cheryl

  • @AmandaRussell thanks for the answer! I did standard push-ups instead of handstand kicks. I tried the workout and did it 4 times in 14:05 :)

  • Amanda I love this video! Do you have any modifier or alternative move for handstand kicks?

  • @AmandaRussell

Makes me squinch looking at how thin you are..

  • @vikakond I would like to make a point: Real women CAN be thin and healthy, just because someone falls out of the 'average mold' people feel compelled say something and to judge. There is a double standard out there, by accusing and making comments like these, and it is just as harmful as any other alienation. Everyone is built differently. I work out hard and I'm in great shape. We need to value diversity and support each other rather than tearing people down.

  • You inspire me. You make me feel like I can just run out there, work out and have a good time doing it! Thank you. Really. Thank you

  • That is a crazy intense workout! It may not seem like it at fist, but after you get past the second rep, you really start sweating and breathing hard! At least I did lol :) I love this though, it's such a convenient and complete workout! I'm definitely going to add this to my regular workout! Thanks so much!

  • @DelightfulyMe 'Delighted' to hear that! I am confident you can get some one the most incredible workouts using nothing but your body weight!

    xo

  • What exercise can i do to replace the handstands kicks ? I can't do them because it hurts my back :/

  • @sdfsqgfes That's a GREAT question! If handstands hurt your back I recommend substituting with pull-ups or assisted pull-ups. Of coarse, you will need a pull up bar, so if you don't have one at home (I know I don't - you may need a gym for this).

If you don't want to schlep over to the gym, simply do push-ups of any variation - they also work your arms, shoulders, core etc. I like wall push-ups or gravity push-ups in place of hand stand kicks :)

  • What are your recommendations for a allow impact quickie workout? I have a problem with my left knee's inner meniscus.

  • @compncv I completely identify with you, after my injury, I could do NO impact for the longest time. I recommend the workouts I have posted but eliminate the impact by modifying. For example, instead of squat jumps, you can squat and reach. My brother just had knee surgery a few months ago and so he does the workouts without the jumps involved.

LEt me know if that helps!

  • I can't do handstands, is there something I could do instead of them for this workout, or can I just skip them?

  • @Marjoleintegr Can you not do handstands because of a physical injury or limitation, or is it because you haven't leanred them yet? If it's the latter, do not worry, the main thing to get over is fear. Handstands have SO many benefits!

You don't need to be Ironman to do a handstand, although it does require a certain level of strength. Start with handstand kicks! Would you like a video on how to start doing handstands? I've received many questions about them...

  • @AmandaRussell It's a little of both, my wrists are weak (due to hypermobility syndrome, not severe) but its also the fear. I guess i could try some handstand kicks and see if my wrists can handle it... A video on it would be great :)

(I also want to mention that I enjoyed your workouts so far!)

  • @Marjoleintegr Absolutely! I will def do a post on that - i think a lot of people have been having the same questions with regard to the handstands, very good point!

  • I just noticed today that you look underweight, correct me if im wrong. If you excersize a lot, you shouldnt have any problem by increasing your calorie intake specially right after your workout. :)

  • @george5563 You're absolutely right! I make sure to eat both protein and carbs within 30 minutes of working out (everyone should). I am healthy and happy the way I am, I'm not trying to gain or lose weight, I'm small by nature, thanks for your input! :)

  • I know making these videos isn't easy with all the editing and all. But I hope we can get 2 videos per week instead of 1. Maybe one about diets and a description of a workout routine and one about the routine itself being played out.

  • @Meekayell So glad you wrote that! We are working on that exact plan! I will be working on getting you guys one lifestyle talk-show and one workout per week!! :)

  • Jealous much people?! She's awesome the way she is. I'm not naturally skinny but I got that way by eating healthy and exercisinng regularly. Some of us actually fight for what we have... so instead of hating try it too and THAT WAY you'll get results.

  • @shapeurmind Thank you - love this comment, it brings up a strong point ;)

  • @AmandaRussell Do you run? I'm asking because I know that is a wonderful workout to do. I want to know if you have any tips for beginners. I'm 35 and just started playing soccer last year and my husband says that running will not only help me shed, but also train me to be faster. Any tips?

  • @ad010513 so glad you asked this! I'm actually a runner FIRST! I'm originally from Canada and came to the US when I was 17 on a full Div 1 Track and cross-country running scholarship. Running was my life but after a big injury my career was cut short. I design my workouts based on my running training. The concept is to get in shape like a runner without logging all the miles and for those who DO run the workouts will drastically make you faster, stronger and have more stamina!

  • @ad010513 Once my new website launches in a couple weeks there will be some great running workouts as well :)

  • Hey, Amanda I forgot to ask you what song you use for this video. It's really catchy and I wanna use it to work out! Thanks :D

  • Hello Amanda I have a request. Can you please do a workout that involves getting rid of your waist fat. Thanks

  • @TheSuperMitra YES! one is coming, we just filmed it this week! Although ,all of these workouts are going to trim down your waist. You can't actually spot reduce, so all these workouts are intense burn (both fat and calories), the more you do, the more you'll see that waistline shimmy down :)

    Hope that helps!

    xo

  • @AmandaRussell

So how many times should you exercise and how long. I want to start working at home now a days.

  • What do you recommend for people who need to wake up early for work and come home late extremely exhausted. I stand all day so my feet are really sore by the time I get home. Would this sort of exercise help me? or will it make me even more tired?

  • @011natalie110 All these workouts are perfect, thy are all mainly 20 minutes or less, so I recommend getting up just 25 minutes earlier to get in a quick intense workout. Then you don't have to worry about it for the rest of the day, and you'll be energized for a great day!

Trust me, 20 minutes earlier won't kill you, the workout will likely do more for you then that extra 20 minutes of sleep :)

Hope that helps!! Trust me I know what it's like to wake up early and get home late - lol.

  • @AmandaRussell Thanks Amanda. It's true need to get some motivation and get into the habit. Such lazy things we are :p

  • @011natalie110 All the workouts I create are 30 minutes or less!! I recommend getting up 25 min earlier, the workout will energize you for the day. And trust me those extra minutes won't kill you, the workout will actually make you stronger and more energized throughout the day!

  • I got through it three times + the basketball drill once more! I feel soo pumped, haha!

I LOVE your channel, this is the first time I have seen a work out video and actually tried it. I will definately try your "hot body workout" tomorrow! You are a true motivation!

  • that looks awesome I'm so going to do it, don't know if I'll be able to do those handstand kicks though I'm so weak lol

  • @lauralovesligers Juast try them, you don't have to kick very high, the more you try, the better you'll get ,I promise!

  • tried your new 15 minute workout. It's tough. You are an inspiration to all who are looking for ways to get fit. Thanks!
