I'm a returned serviceman with 9 years in the Australian Regular Army. Even though they do some things a little different to us I always enjoyed working alongside our US Army or USMC brothers on operations. I found them to be motivated, well trained professionals for the most part - earned my respect. I suspect those trashing on their combat abilities in this forum have never had the privilege of serving alongside them or any actual military service/experience for that matter.

we use to follow the british army f#$k that look up gallipoli they would send out the troops without ammunition and only bayonets for honor or some shit and if you didn't you would get shot the pomi generals were sending men on suicide missions (this wasnt always the case only rarely and there not like that now of course)

its pretty amazing how so little australian troops have been killed in the iraq and afganistan wars. that fact alone is a true testament to our soldiers capability and expertise.
remember though how many troops Britian & the U.S. have sent in action compared to how many we have, that would contribute alot. In WW1 we had the highest percentage of losses than any other nation.

we use to follow the british army f#$k that look up gallipoli they would send out the troops without ammunition and only bayonets for honor or some shit and if you didn't you would get shot the pomi generals were sending men on suicide missions (this wasnt always the case only rarely and there not like that now of course)

@9AUG6 Every military from the anglosphere, along with Nato are equiped the same. We share intel and tactics that succeed or fail. Although many civilians in Austrailia wont admit to this, but in my experience with Aussies, I find their personality similar. Dont get me wrong, I love the Brits, Canadians ect. but its nice to find a people who are as loud, proud, fiercely independent and self confident as we are. AKA assholes! lol Thanks austrailia.
