breh, my first gen touch is fucked. it's always going to "boot mode" i can't restore it, when i do go to recovery mode, and try to resotre it says i cant contact restore server. i downloaded a IPSW from a site, then i get an unknown error (20) i;ve tried everything.

i tried jailbreaking my ipod and it worked but it would freeze up and i would have to restart the whole ipod..

so once i saw your video it totally helped me get the app off of my ipod...

theres a file that u can restore ur iphone to, and it will restore to 2.0, ill make a video soon of that.

if you have jailbroken the iPod touch/iPhone, is it possible that you can send it to apple after you do this?

try looking on google for an older version of ziphone.

or try turning off phone, then holding home button while plugging it into the usb, then it will come up in restore mode or whatever.

restore from there.

i have a question if i restore my phone to new not to last backup will it delete my phone number, not the contacts just my at&t service and can i re-sync my music, contact, etc. back to the phone after i restore the phone to a new phone? thanks in advance

yea it might delete contacts, thats why you need to copy and backup contacts.

old fashion way.

backup ur contacts or whatever u need.

turn off iphone.

hold home button, while still holding it, plug it into the computer. and it will go into recovery mode or whatever mode, and restore it from itunes.

turn off iphone.

then hold home, and plug it in, it should go into recovery mode.

Hey, sorry to bother you again, but as you said towards the end of the video, I did restore the phone from itunes and also set it up as a new phone and NOT backup. Do you think this is enough to safely send it to apple on Monday without getting my warranty void, OR do I need to do something else to further clean it.(and oh, does it have to be In recovery mode before you press restore on itunes? because i might have not done that!)

Hey man! I have to send in my Iphone to apple for either a fix or a replacement because of some at&t signal crap. I haven't told them I had once jail broken it. So can yo please help me get the Iphone COMPLETELY cleaned up and as good as NEW, so I can send it to apple without getting caught and therefore voiding my warranty. I mean the video did help but I just really need your help in getting the whole thing RIGHT!

I think you shouldn't open itunes while ZiPhone is working...Also make sure the iTunes Helper process is not running in the backround.
