I hope you have better plays that that, since this will only work once. I've been involved in youth football for a long time, and these trick plays get found out real quick.
THis play should have been flagged! You committe two foward lateral passes. The hand off is foward and then the pass over the head. The official should have throw the flag. This play would have never stood if you were coaching agaisnt me. But good theory just needs to be tweaked!
It's Pop Warner Football, so any kind of trick play is legal. If they tried to pull something like this on a college team, they'd be benched for tom foolery.
Why is this any more effective than the same throw, facing forward? It's just a weak pass that would only work against a young defense, but throwing it backwards doesn't change that.

one more thing...i played defense in school, and if we even had let a play like this be completed let alone score...i think i might have cried lol...got 2 be embarrassing to fall for this...not that its not a great play tho...just that if the defense stays with their assignments that could've been an easy pick
yo that was too cool, lol, i had 2 watch it a few times but i get it now, if u practice it enough that play would work at least once on every level youth to pro...great play!!!
We run it out of a single wing offense. Direct snap to the Running back and a blocking back lines up directly behind the guard. RB takes the snap and runs forward like a dive. The Blocking back simply stands up and turns facing backwards. RB hands the ball off to the BB and continues the fake dive. The Defense collapses to stop the RB. The TE runs to the middle of the field and the BB throws a no-look pass over his shoulder. If the defense collapses on the RB, TE should be WIDE open.
The QB turns around like he's going to hand the ball off, since it's youth league all the players try to run in and made the tackle and the QB tosses the ball behind him, over the line, and there's someone there to catch it. It's just the youth league version of a play action pass.

This play shouldn't have been allowed to count, he hands it off forwards, then they throw a forward pass. Should have been disallowed

it works if you fake the pitch then try the pass but not without some kind of fake the halfback

Aggressive defense + Youth defense = No chance of an interception i guess lol

Fortunately, once they reach the high school level, the coach will tell them that a play like that is not as effective.
