  • if anything will put a smile on your face, and tears in your eyes, this will, Eric and Ernie, put the British in being British, RIP guys

  • eric morecambe had funny bones

  • Best bit is when Cliff turns his back to the camera at the end and just laughs away. Brilliant post - thanks!

  • Love this sketch!! And the one before it in the flat xD one of my favorite episodes but um... No DES jokes? XD Ernie an Eric were absolutly amazing an there will never be a better comedy duo in my opinion :) an im only 15!!!

  • Always makes me smile when i see this just love it !!!

  • Wow I never knew Cliff performed this with my favourite comedy pair. 3 favourite people I have always loved, Happy New Year. :)

  • i miss Morcambe and Wise

thankfully i can grab glimpses here on YT

  • I love this!!!

  • HA HA HA! They are great! And... I think Cliff Richard was having a blast! :D

  • Way to go, Sir Cliff.

  • Magic simply magic. Is there any comic talent out there today?

  • Well exactly -apparently we are supposed to be staified as viewers with Woss & Brand "humour" and their foul-mouthed interviews -Any Kids watching this now surely you can recognise the difference between real comedy talent and worthless and limited talent we have on tv now. Sure it was immature slapstick -but it was wholesome and none insulting.

We need a new duo of comparable talent desperately to make the licence fee at least seem worth it -not the dross Ross and co serve up for 8 million!

  • @rogiet3 - I daresay there is plenty of talent, but as someone has already mentioned, much of today's comedy is embarrassingly vulgar and tasteless. Look out for a very talented comedian/musician/impressionist called Stevie Riks on YouTube - he was on TV last night, but I wasn't able to watch it as I am not in the UK :-(

  • dear expat yes i have seen Steve on you tube, he is very funny. Happy New Year to yo.

  • Never seen that before. As like most M&W sketches, absolutely top class

  • I agree, they were absolutely top class. Britains finest double act and the nation loved them. so sadly missed. the world is a lesser place without them both.

    cheers

    ATVmidlands UK

  • got an old video of Morcombe and wise from the library forgot how funny they are, without any smut or swearing. Simple things are so funny. The stripper breakfast is great.

What do you think so far, rubbish. Great catch phrase. Jen

  • @jennyapp - I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one who thinks that. I usually get told to 'lighten up' when I complain about the vulgarity of comedy these days! How wonderful that we have YouTube now, otherwise we would probably never have seen these 'gems' again.

  • That bucket dance must have been hard (in one camera shot, and perfect timeing)

  • three camea shots intro/middle/end.

  • camera shots

  • I can write for you any sheet music

  • i love them soooo much!!!!!

  • i love Erics smile, at 0.31 lol

    bless him

    RIP Sunshine boys..

  • I love this!!!

The look on Cliff's face cracks me up when their dancing with the buckets.

  • HAHA, I love Erics little walk at the end before he falls!

  • Eric & Ernie were a different class, there has never been a comedy act to match them.

  • Totaly agree there.
