in this season except for contemporary, it was just dance, not storytelling, now its all story telling, so maybe thats the difference, because Neil is an even better dancer now then season 3 as we saw briefly in season 7's allstars..

@letsgoskitzo everyone appreciates good dancing. it doesnt matter which season its in. the judges are all dance experts and they know was amazing DANCING is, so theyd love it no matter what season it is.

@SamuraiSuicider In some ways I agree with you on them looking ameteaurish, but I think it is also a lack of chemistry between them on this song (and the fact that it's not really either ones dance area) in comparison to any other song either of them did that season.

@navygirl8519 yeah i see what you mean...they do work well together in other routines, but now that you bring up chemistry, i think its just neither of them have that natural fire for this type of flavor. (but i still think the choreography could have been much better)

Neil is a fantastic dancer--- his return as an all star on season and this season is a breath of fresh air. He delivered another great routine on tonight's show. Great trusted partnering
