i never understand the turret on uboats isnt betetr with a more dynamic shaped figure like a plane.

@nolifemerc WWII U-boat was more like a surface torpedo boat that could dive in an emergency. Top speed under water was 7 knots for about 30 minutes - then the battery was discharged. U-boats sank more ships while on the surface. Guns were useful for sinking small or damaged ships.

You are right - modern submarines with atomic propulsion, (true submarine) are streamlined, no guns, and stay underwater. They surface only in emergency, or when returning to base.
