I've heard rumors that the original plan back in 2000/2001 was to have Steph betrayed HHH and leave him for Kurt. Remember the mis-understanding when Steph walked in on HHH showing Trish Stratus a wrestling hold. I believe that was suppose to be the start of what would lead to their inevitable break up. The 2001 wound up being Kurt Angle vs. HHH with Trish in Kurt's corner and Steph in HHH's, but I think the original plan was suppose to be the other way around.

Yes, Kurt married Karen in 1998. This was a storyline between Kurt and Stephanie. The Love Triangle 2000 came about because someone in the back saw Kurt and Steph hanging out backstage and thought they would make a good pairing for the show. Angle and Steph were close friends.

Thanks for the comment. I really don't see a 'brother-sister' thing between him and Stephanie. They always flirt when they are on screen together. And in Angle's RF shoot, Kurt said that Stephanie and he had a really good friendship and were attracted to each other in that way. Someone saw how they were together and came up with the love triangle storyline. Watch the RF shoot if you don't believe me. :)
