  • Neat!

  • I like your accent..American accents are cool..Canadaian accents are so BOOORING..unless your Quebecor..then its ok..but yours is cool!!

  • @joeblowthehot

Not all Americans sound like her.

  • @iFauxPas Oh Im sure..Ive been all over the States ( awsome place ) she doesnt sound like a New Yorker.. her profile says she is from NC ..North Carolina..beauty accent there eh..cheers!!!

  • @joeblowthehot your boring.

  • When i went salon to do my hair highlight...she used 40 developer .. And she mix with 100 vol developer,,,,i dont know is there 100 vol developer?????how can i mix the developer and bleach???i need gold highlighlight without using toner!!!!

  • @tinagaroavonishan Of course she did. It lifts very quickly, which helps the process. (especially for darker hair colors!) Its very tricky to get the bleach out of your hair when your hair gets to the 'gold' stage. If you time it right by watching your hair very carefully, it is feasible. Otherwise, I'd suggest lifting it lighter than you want and then using a toner. Its only sensible cause most people aren't able to stop the process in time. Best of luck. Carolyn

  • @nickhology Its precautions dear. Not percautions. If you watch all the videos, many precautions are mentioned. Professionals screw up hair everyday, so going to one, doesn't guarantee good results. Have a nice day! XO Carolyn

  • @nickhology Bleach left alone in the container, does not expire or go bad dear. I've been a licensed cosmetologist for almost 20 years... almost as long as you've been alive! If its not mixed, its fine to use! When I worked in a salon, we used 40 volume peroxide with bleach. It gives bleach the quickest lifting action and usually does not require heat. Women are going to bleach their hair at home whether its a good idea or not.. so why not give them a heads up on doing it. Have a nice day!

  • @notaditdot 40 volume is also unnecessarily aggressive to the hair and there is no reason to ever use a 40 volume with bleach.

  • @tjwatevuh You're tripping. If you want to lift dark hair colors, 40 volume works fastest and is easiest when you don't have a hooded dryer to sit under. I feel really sorry for you being so closed minded and thinking other people don't have something to offer. I am sure that you've bashed other people who don't do things like you do, but there are more ways to skin a rabbit where I come from. Best advice? Get a life and get out of mine! Have a nice day!

  • my hair right now is a brownish reddish color. I forgot to right that after saying to it professionally done.my sister did the highlighting tools when i was younger i went for a caramel then the bright blond box's n I'm scared that if i do the cap it hurt but everyone who used the cap said she wasn't putting my hair right n she mad it painful so don't worrie the next time i do it.is that true? thx

  • @Nicolerulezlife ha! I had a hairdresser years ago, do the same thing to me. If it hurts, its not being done correctly. You don't need to dig the tool down to the scalp, you simply want to scoop the hair carefully, and stay away from the scalp. Best of luck! XO Carolyn

  • hi i have dark hair color and i like the golden tones and i don't want a bleach blond look.but i just got it done professionally and if i want just high lights she wants 200 not including whole head so i don't mind doing it in a accouple trys.but i dont have 200 to spend each month on highlights. do u have any advice? i want blond on my own accouple months ago i like it but it was little to much orange then reddish blond i wanted, but i would really like going a dark blond/meidum blond.thx

  • @Nicolerulezlife When your hair gets to the blond color you want, you need to STOP the lifting action. If it looks too red, go ahead and lift your hair to a lighter shade of blonde, then use a toner afterward... to tone down the blonde color. Make sense?

  • @notaditdot with a toner when i did go blond it had a toner in it so i didn't need to buy one but witch ones do u recommended. ty and idk that i need a toner and do i need the blue color shampoo n conditioner? I like my hair right now i'm gonna wait till my roots come in to do the highlights. thx for helping me understand more about coloring my own hair. :)

  • woow you are great lady. My friend that ursually do my highlights moved, so thanks to you, i'll try it my self. Thank you a milion :)

  • @alminaedzevit Thank you sweetheart! XO Carolyn

  • @mmt731 That is so cool! Great job sweetheart! XO Carolyn

  • @mmt731 Thank you sweetheart! Glad this helped! XO Carolyn

  • Wow. For someone who seems so nice, you sure are opinionated! In the first place, this was NOT a kit! I have been a licensed Cosmetologist for over 18 years and think I know how to do hair! Foils are great if you like them but are extremely hard to do on yourself. Thats why this is a DIY video! I actually like doing the free hand method best, but that can't be used with bleach. Take notes: if you don't have nothing nice to say... better not to say anything at all! Have a nice day!

  • @Nurse613 Sorry Girly But Cap Highliqhtinq Is Still In;

  • The ONLY way you can get any type of blonde on black hair is using a 40 vol. so leave her alone dumbasses

  • My sentiments exactly! Rock on! XO Carolyn

  • oh, then why did I use a 30 vol, on my black hair? The blonde turned out pretty light tbh.

  • If your hair is naturally black and has like never been dyed then yes but if it's been died like mine has, you HAVE to use a 40.

  • The first time I dyed my hair I used a 30 volume, so you mustve did something wrong, or you didn't apply heat to it.

  • i'm not badgering her, whatever she wants to put in her hair that's great for her, she's happy with it so i'm not saying anything. Some people prefer to use a 30 volume on their black hair and it works fine.. doesn't make us dumb.

  • im just saying, bleaching ur hair isnt good in the 1st place so you should do everything you can to help not damage it too much, Using 30v will not do as much damage and you will still get the result desired. I am 16 and I live right over in Tasmania, Things are probably different here and at Polytechnic (hair dressing school I go too) things are probably teached different these days. Have a good day too.

  • If you abuse anything, it will hurt you. The key is to use stronger products with responsibility. Using 40 volume is not damaging if you use it correctly. I've used 40 volume for years with great success. Its always good to heir on the side of caution though, when you're first starting out. Bleach is a very strong product but for lifting dark hair, 40 volume is a must have. Stay sweet, keep up your education and you'll go far! XO Carolyn

  • should never use 40 v. always 30 or under cause 40 will killl your hair so badly.

  • Do me a favor and don't preach to the choir. 40 volume will NOT kill your hair is used properly. I have been a licensed Cosmetologist for just about 20 years and have used 40 volume peroxide on my hair for many of those years. If you don't abuse it, you won't lose it. Have a great day! XO Carolyn

  • wow thankx so much for making dis. very helpful! =) take care now.

  • You are so welcome sweetheart. :o)

  • my mom is a beautician and she highlights my hair. im 12, but My aunt whos like 18. is going to school to do hair, she dies her hair like every month, pink green, blue red, All the colors!

  • ur hair is dead girl!

  • All hair is dead sweetie, except the hair thats growing out from your hair follicles. My hair is thick, but in very good condition. Thank you very much. Carolyn

  • GO AHEAD!! MAM!!!! dont listen to people!!! :) i bet u just have natural curly hair and blow dried/straightened it.. My hair is like that too .. cuz its naturally wavy!! :)

    *Marliz

  • You got that right Marliz. I blow my hair straight most of the time. Seems like the bottom layers curl like all get out but the top layers don't curl as much. Its just easier to straighten all of it.

Thanks for your kind kudos! XO Carolyn

  • Great videos, I watched all three. They are really in-depth! I like that at 3:57 you state that you will need a COLOR cape. Many people just say a cape, and some think that they are all the same, and wind up buying a nylon cutting cape, and wonder why they have bleed through onto their cloths when some of the color lands on it. Plastic shampoo capes, or a POLY coated chemical cape for sure when doing coloring like this. THANK YOU!!!

  • Thank you for appreciating my hard work. Thank you for noticing! XO Carolyn

  • i do my sisters hair with a capand shes a massage therpist 2 lol this is wonderful to know your just wonderful and a very pretty woman have a beautiful day ,,god bless

  • That's so cool! I am glad you help your sis! God bless you too! XO Carolyn

  • Thank you! I do try:o) XO Carolyn

  • Any advice for a girl who's going to go to beauty school to become a hair stylist? Any thing you would have to say would be Great! Thanks for the vids! =).

  • Beauty schools are quite rigid with their teaching styles. You will learn the basics but the real experience will come when you work in a salon. I would suggest working under an experienced stylist when you start out. (kinda an internship) You will learn so much more if you do! The best advice I can give you is to listen to your clients requests and stay off the phone when you have appt.'s. Consultations are also very important but seems to be missing from many salons these days. Best of luck!

  • That helps, thanks so much =).

  • I agree with this. I trained to be a beauty therapist a few years ago (I'm now qualified but I don't work as one, although I have in the past and sometimes do treatments for my sisters) and I learnt more effective and quick techniques from the staff at the salons I did work experience at than I did at college.

  • Glad to see you back! I love your videos they are so informative and helpful!

  • Thank you! XO Carolyn

  • Great info!

  • Thanks! Always, Carolyn

  • Welcome! It gives me great pleasure to see you again.

  • Nice to be back sweetie~ XO Carolyn

  • Great! Part 1!! I love your videos and just wanted to see it asap.

  • Thank you sweetheart!
