the cvr"s are rated at 300 rms in a ported enclosure so be careful oh yea if in a ported box you will need a subsonic filter as to not over exert the subs or they wont last long

i have two 4ohm Kicker CVR 12"s and i have a Kenwood X1200M it makes 1200wrms @ 2ohms and as u can see i can only wire them to 2 ohms. the wont blow, right? and is there any way to wire them both to 4 ohms to get 800wrms from my amp? ( it makes 800wrms @ 4OHMS

i used to have two CVR twelves hooked up to the same 1000 watt sony amp and after a while the amp burned up but they worked fine for what the cheap amp was..

well when i turn the bass boost up and turn it up a little bit it cuts out. and i felt my amp and wasnt even warm. so im guessing the wire is too small. plus its walmart wire.....

I don't know if would be a difference betwen 5 and 4 gauge. But a can tell you that i first have 8 gauge, and the i had to upgrade to 4, and there was a big difference.
