  • firsts?

  • Ha ha ha! That's the video that showed the DARPA last week as evidence for their "new developed scientific breakthrough" - the >Hummingbird drone<!

I noticed, that the object, that was shown in the video wasn't the same as the hummingbird on the photo, that have wings and no tail - a construction, that impossibly will be able to fly!

5 Million $ for an ugly Xmas-tree decor!

  • send this one to Area 51! ;-)

  • i've hear zooming

  • Dutch people and the thing is called DelFly... Let me guess, made in Delft?

    Nice design btw :D

  • i want 1 of these .how much does it cost though

  • where can i buy 1 of those and how much will it cost.

  • Where can I buy one of these??

  • Thats freaking awsome! I want one!

  • The coolest ornithopter ever

  • spyborg!

  • interesting , a great sensing technique , self flying system for small size , interesting

  • It's suprisingly QUIET. Good job. Advancing flying technology so we don't have to rely on toxic jet fuel should be humans #1 priority if we're going to continue expanding business across the globe etc etc.

  • Yeah, except for the fact that you can't fit a whole lot of passengers in a plane the size of a grasshopper.

  • can it hover? easy to fly?

  • Technology ROCKS !!!

  • Where or how can I make one ?

    Total awsome

  • nice one...homeland security will have a ball spying on americans with that one!

  • For the next video, shoot with your back against the windows (light). It will help us see the plane!

  • Hardware Details. What Microprocessor Are You using for Image Recognition?

  • You can get an ornithopter to hover you just have to get the wings at the proper angel. Just look at hummingbird. I believe Disney actually has a flying toy comming out probably about 3 times the size of this flier that can do a sorta of hovering stall.

  • Cant believe it even has a camera, it would be awesome if it could hover on the spot.

  • I wonder how well this would do outside.... thats the problem with most MAV's no ability to function even in the most minor of wind currents.

  • it would probabally get blow away sure but it is still cool

  • very impressed :)
