Are you serious? How can you use background music to the video that is irrelevant to the people you're trying to portray? It's like putting a Chinese soundtrack to a documentary video of America...please wake up!!!!
@Nadanbata have u not heard their lannguage, they are the only ones in Nigeria who braid their hair as men, their dressing is of Egyptian style, and their physical looks fits the "stereotype" which there really is none but different types and sizes of black as seen in Nigeria. Other Nigerian tribes originated from Egypto-Semitic-Ehtiopic origins but they are the latest and purest. I have some who work for me as gardeners. They still wear make up.
@Nadanbata Their Afro Asiatic classing is from scholars who I believe were biased in their groupings I hate to say and perhaps could not have wanted (in good faith) too many black languages in the same tree with Hebrew, Ancient Egyptian and Arabic, Hausa was just too obvious to be denied. Any way besides that check this out, I dont know whether it is original to me but I thought of it myself. **Sorry to send quite along note**
@childofconvenant ** AN/ON/ANU = Tribal term/ racial term used by Egyptians. FELA = Lower/Middle Class Egyptian at the bottom of society (as opposed to FERA at the top of society) FELA +ANI = FULANI. I thought it up one day. That would explain their propensity to heard cattle. They are recent migrants, that would explain their nomadic tendencies and aren't as Islamic inclined as the Hausa-Fulani, their mixture with Hausa has changed their colour
@VraiDiouf Im starting to think that Anicent Egyptian languge was not AfroAsiatic as well lol. Or it was a multicultural society.... But then Fula language is Niger Congo....
@VraiDiouf Niger Congo i think is some rubbish, matter of fact i don't believe none of those language groupings. i think Latin falls into one of those African language groups. Who grouped African languages together anyway?
At 3:24 lol they are eating Kossam a common Fulani food that we eat. This is great except the music which is not Fulani music but nevertheless great coverage of nomadic lifestyle. You even show the flagellation which is common to become a man in Fuiani culture. It is a widespread thing. You must endure beatings by someone else in order to become a man. There is nothing non-Fulani about this, every Mbororo would agree.
What do you mean real Fulani? Fulani are a confederation of several ethnic groups whom have obviously mixed into eachother..These people are no more less Fulani than any other Fula group.
@90sraisedme I agree to somewhat. I guess they still are fulani but not a repesentation of the original fulani people. Not really a confederation of people, more like an ethnic group who has others adopt their language and culture.
@kingmoneyG It's quite hilarious to call someone unpure. Go tell a fulani youth the only culture he knows is not original and see what happens. Who are you to say that any peole are not original.
@bruin03" It's quite hilarious to call someone unpure."....Go upto a mullato and call them a pure white person and then you see the logic......intermarriage!
@kingmoneyG What the heck are you talking about? These are all Fulani people. Do yourself a favor and go to Google images and type Fulani. You are very naive.
@kingmoneyG In fact these are the most pure Fulani you are discrediting us, the Fulani you see in this video are Adamawa Fulani they are Mbororos, I think you are some kind of fake person if you really are a fulani speak the language, these fulani are in Adamawa Cameroon as well in Central Afr. Rep. Chad and Niger. Your video is a fake you are obviously some brainwashed American.
@kingmoneyG the most pure Fulani are the Wodaabe aka Mbororo, these in Bauchi/Adamawa are Mbororo so what are you talking about? You are either clueless or just don't know anything about Fulani people in general. If you did you wouldn't be spouting such nonsense. The Fulani in your video are not true Fulani. If you want the most real Fulani who have never interbreeded look at the Wodaabe. It was not until recently they started interbreeding with Touareg.
@kingmoneyG it has been stated on numerious occasions that the Fulani in the Senegambia, Guinea area, are all mixed with Mande (Malinke, Susu), Soninke, etc. There are light complexioned and dark complexioned people in almost every ethnic group of West Africa. That said, the only true Fulani if we don't want to talk about mixing much are the Wodaabe. They have mixed the least until more recently (with Touareg). Skin complexion has nothing to do with ones looks as the majority of Fulani are..
@kingmoneyG cont...dark brown. Sure there are many light complexioned Fulani but those are usually located in Guinea where there are more trees. Where there are more trees, people tend to be lighter in complexion, because the trees shield them from the sun. Fouta Djallon the Fulani region in Guinea is more bushy than the Sahel in Northern Nigeria, Niger, Chad, Cameroon, etc. Since there is no sun to protect these people they are naturally darker. Why do you think Northern Nigerians tend to
@kingmoneyG to be darker than Southern Southern Nigerians? It's because the North is more arid and has less trees therefore the people in the Northern Part of Nigeria are darker. Being Fulani does not mean having light skin (as many African ethnic groups have light skin). Being a Fulani means you practice Pulaagu and you adhere to this strict code semteende, munyal, hakkilo (modesty, patience, Wisdom). The reason why the Wodaabe are the most pure Fulani is because they are the most nomadic
@kingmoneyG you completely did not understand what I said but not much is expected from someone who is either Canadian (Western) or raised in the West. In areas where there is more dense bush, trees do not allow sunlight to reach ones skin. Also, I don't believe you have Fulani blood, no Fulani would put down another Fulani like you have in this video. Take a look at the Fulani in Niger and Chad (even Northern NIgeria) that are referred to as Fulani dagi in Hausa, they are dark, slender and
@kingmoneyG cont...extremely tall. It is due to the nomadic diet. There are hardly no trees in the Desert/Sahelian Saharan zone, therefore the Fulani and any ethnic group in this region who are naturally from this region (Beri-Beri, Hausa, etc.) can be extremely dark because extremely dark skin is more resilient to the sun. The Fulani in Guinea Fouta Djallon (which is more forest and bush) than the Arid zone in Niger and Chad bordering the Sahara do not get nearly the amount of sun.
@kingmoneyG it does not take a genius to figure this out, this is not rocket science. You are right, pure Fulani do have a distinct phenotype look at the wodaabe. Tall, dark, large beautiful eyes, most beautiful teeth in the world. They are the purest of all Fulani. I don't even know why you argue this, every Fulani person knows this. This is why I knwo you are not Fulani. Take a couple of minutes and just type in "Fulani People" in google images.
@kingmoneyG What are you saying? Are Fulani people no nomads? What kind of housing do you think they will have? This is how I know you are not Fulani. In Fulani culture, caste is not shown. No matter how rich a Fulani man becomes they do not show it, it is called Semteende woni pullo. Those are not Fulani of castes you speak jargon. Nomads don't live in cities look at other nomadic groups like the Touareg, a nomad builds thing that are easy to take down and come back to. I'm done arguing
@jimilli09 you should come to nigeria and see. i am fulani/fullata/fulah and we are pure even though race or skin color does not mean anything to me. in senegal maybe there are no pures, but come to nigeria and meet us, you will see how different we look.
