@copelandstar I think most people prefer Year One but I like the overall story more in TDKR. I say you should still read it since the Superman plot isn't even half of the book.

But then I can't bring myself to read any of the stuff with Damian as Batman, but I do dig Dick as the Dark Knight. I guess I have certain ideas about who Batman should be. to be honest, the world of marvel always was more interesting to me as most of characters feel like humans with feelings, limitations, and real life bs. there isn't so much of this crazy amounts of glamour that the dc character have with their jobs, lives and organization. batman was the exception. who doesn't like a dark super hero that sometimes walks the line of good and bad? unfortunately i dont think i will be reading this as with you explanation all i hear is batman and see dirty clothes.

Great review but not my favorite book. I thought Miller's Batman Year One was so much better. Its been about 7 years since I read this, but i mostly remember reading a lot . . . A LOT of news broadcaster pages. That annoyed the hell out of me, but it does deserve a reread.
@ShartimusPrime Not my favorite either but it's definitely up there. And I 100% agree about the broadcaster pages. It wouldn't have been as bad if they didn't have as many of them or at least all of the were relevant. The ones at the beginning especially dragged.
