  • Supported this guy in brighton like 2-3 years ago!

    Lost my guitar same night.

  • amazinggggg!

  • Is there a tab or lead sheet for this anywhere?!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • pure class!

  • Reminds me of James Taylor.

  • @slimturnpike Person sitting beside me litteraly just said that.

  • @slimturnpike Person sitting beside me litteraly just said that.

  • Foy's so Underrated!

  • From 4:34 the girl in the background looks like some possessed Exorcist type thing! haha!

  • Loved his crosstown version but I think this moves too far away from the edgy paranoid feel that defined Jacksons version so much

  • Just like I have always felt that the most beautiful places were the most difficult to get to, I find the best music is found with those that are not necessarily getting exposure.

  • Watch this vid till the end....Saw him for the first time live at the Bakewell Acoustic Festival this summer, about 50 people in the audience, talk about up front & personal... instant fan for life! Very very talented balladeer. Don't Miss if you get the chance!

  • so much love for this. he is so talented.

  • heard this donw at summer madness in belfast last year, it was literally incredible

  • Foy is a vocal phase master, his version of Crosstown Traffic would make Hendrix proud!

  • woooow :)

    Deezy

  • this is amazing live! xxx greenbelt '10 <3

  • greatness

  • What a awesome version has got to be on par with the original stood the hairs up on my neck

  • AWESOME DUDE!

  • Just great. Foy's a true balladeer, One Of MJ's Most Touching Cover, Dmn Nice Song

  • holy...

  • Brilliant! Just saw Foy at Greenbelt festival this weekend and he was just amazing! He's just got such talent.

  • I could live off this man's voice.

  • wow!

  • Is it really a valid criticism to levy at a cover version...that it's not new or innovative...surely the fact that it's a cover version would mean it never could be new or innovative...just different from the original.

  • RIP MJ. think he would have liked this version. never can say goodbye.

  • I flipping love this =]

  • foy vance is the king!!!

  • its a guy in the back . fyi

  • @jrem3 pretty sure its a guy and a girl, just saying

  • saw him again last night..gotta say..i react to his voice just like the creepy girl in the back does..cannae help it! haha

  • It's a pity all that pish is goin on in the backgound.

  • Foy has taken a classic hit and made it entirely his own interpretation and this is a masterpiece. Foy has a voice that makes you lose your senses like that woman in the background has

  • the girl is just doing wat any1 does when they see foy live enjoyin the hell out of it

  • but she sure does look funny doing it :)

  • seen foy for the first time in the blackbox in belfast last week, speechless the man is a legend

  • goin to see him in leeds! finally!! yay!

  • The guy's incredible, I'd love to see him live! Got the album last year, he's a real hidden gem like!

  • Still great each time I listen and the headbanger in the back is totally entranced.

  • une des meilleur reprise !!! vraiment bravo

  • He sounds eerily like Ray LaMontagne during the first few seconds. Which I think is a huge compliment.

  • I listened to this again - it is a song so truly inhabited and delivered with soul and heartfelt emotion. Quite wonderful and so moving too.

  • its good but knowone beats michael!

  • michael is a god then surely foy is jesus

  • soul soul soul...i love him!!!

  • This was quite utterly fantastic - so good it takes your breath away. It has everything from power, rhythm to delicacy. The guitar playing was just so right for the way he sang the song. I am stunned and moved by the quality of this rendition.

  • only got to see him twice, AMAZING both times!!

  • LEGEND!!! This is what music is supposed to sound like...

    AMAZING...

  • i don;t know how people think cornell's version is better than this. When Foy sings it he sounds like he mean every single word.

  • "When Foy sings it he sounds like he mean every single word."

-I agree with this quote 100%. He has so much emotion and communicates this song so well.

  • i agree 100%...he feels everything he says with so much passion...how can you not love him!!!???

  • alal vera!

  • This is beautiful, real soulful.

  • 3 words, ten outta ten. foy vance and ken haddock are norn' irelands next big music exports. such a pleasure to be in their company. nice.

  • listen to this all the way through...awesomeness!!

  • come on ulster!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bangor co.down

  • amazing version odf this song,im a big cornell fan but foy just makes this song his own!!anyone know where i could find the guitar tabs for this??

  • Dreaming, Foy smashes this more than cornell, tho i am a big fan, foy has the total mastery of the emotion accredited to this song!!! Amazin !!! We love you foy!!!

  • reminds me of kissing you . great song great voice live as well

  • amazinggg

  • woh!!!! that woz ammaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazin!! dun jackson justice there man!!

  • U dont have a clue do u

  • Where have I heard that before?

  • To answer the previous questions:

-The noise in the Background is the 2006 Oxygen Festival in Ireland. This was done backstage, during the afternoon.

-The people in the back are: Simon Townshend and Mikey Cuthbert. Co-Hosts of "In The Attic"

"In The Attic" - Rachel Fullers show toured with "The Who" on their european 2006 tour. Every stop featured artists who were in town and showcased Rachaels, Simons, Mikeys and Pete Townshends music.

  • I would give everything to be the guy in the back!

  • Beautiful...

  • he could sing the phone book n still sound amazing..

  • Hey, I put up a video explanation of how he plays this. If anyone's interested just check out my videos

  • Please check my acoustic version of this song.

I would love you to rate or comment

    5 StarZ 4 u

    Love it

    Peace

  • his voice is so hypnotic.I got goosebumps. Good stuff 8-)

  • prick, at least he tried to do something that had a bit of himself in it, I'd like to see you do better...

Don't diss musicians who are doing their best, he isn't a big time rockstar, he has a great voice, and you should be kinder to someone who is only trying to entertain.

Save your shit for britney or whoever.

  • That's like comparing an espresso coffee to a bottle of good beer - they both do great things in completely different ways.

  • @sacre Mmmm I think you get more bang for your buck from the beer! I can't find my smile in a coffee, though beer always helps me find it! Coffee? Mmmmmmm! Nope!

  • i think chris cornells is a good cover of this song but its a bit too country western for me :)

  • Brilliant ! Hypnotic...love this man !

  • and by "they" I mean "it"

  • so nice, too bad they sounds like their "attic" is above a dance club

  • He is blessed

  • What's that kind of buzz in the background? Can anyone hear some kind of buzz? As if they're on a plane or something?

  • can someone find tabs?

  • i wna c him with joss stone for a UK connection and with Alicia Keyes for a US connect ... and Barnesy for Oz connect...

    effing awesome man!!!!

  • Legend.

  • WOW, how personable :)

  • Just went to see him in Dublin!! He's 150 times better live and yet he's unreal recorded!! Prob the best gig ive been to! If you get the chance to, go and see him live !!!

  • just can't stop listenig to his version, Foy's fuckin' amazing, bengreen20 -> U R absolutely right (I mean your second sentence)

  • I agree - I saw himplay support for Bonnie Raitt who was very average and had none of the verve, vitality and soul of Foy.

  • Oh my God!

Awesome. I hope he will play some concerts in Germany..

    plz more of that Stuff!

  • great but i think Chris cornels version is greater.

  • wise up!

  • no he's good dont get me wrong, but cornell's is way better. wise up back attchya!

  • cornells is dung
